Beautiful setting and historic building, but the room was so tiny (and we're accustomed to European room size) that one scraped the wall when trying to stand next to the bed.  The A/C did not work and the pool (with beautiful view) was empty even though it was already late June and very hot.

Pretty to look at, but uncomfortable

Situated in the middle of a vineyard, there is Domaine de Naujan.  One can use this facility as home base or simply as an overnight on the way to someplace else.  Nearby is St. Emilion, which is a must.  Our room was adequate, albeit somewhat spartan and not in the main house.  All bathrooms have been modernized.  A good value for the price.

Quiet and comfortable

This was the only place available after our other hotel cancelled less than 24 hours before arriving with no alternatives. They answered my email within minutes, and couldn't be more accommodating. I explained we were arriving early at 11 am and they said this would be completely fine. On arrival at the Chateau i was completely blown away by the grounds and the buildings, and when we walked round to the terrace we were met by the most incredible view which almost brought tears to my eyes!  we were shown our room which although wasn't huge, was completely ample with a large superking bed and with a good sized en suite. Room was bright and airy and incredibly clean (and cleaned every day we were there) as was the whole hotel. I did think that the pool area and loungers were a little tired but nothing that a good freshen up wouldn't fix. And it was an added bonus having the pool area with that view. 

Breakfast was standard for France, with fresh bread and croissants, cold meat, cheese, cereal and yogurt and really good coffee. The only down side is that there isn't a bar on site, although they can bring you a beer or bottle of wine if they are around, but given it is far from everything i think a bar / snack area on site would have made it excellent rather than just very good. But all in all i cannot fault my stay here and would definitely recommend.

Beautiful Place - a great find!

This is a real chateau surrounded by the vines of the wines you can drink by the pool. There’s only a few rooms and they’re very comfortable and keeping in the  historic character of the chateau. There’s a small village nearby, but it is essentially in the countryside. There’s no restaurant or food (except breakfast) in the chateau so be sure to bring your own provisions.

Real Chateau

I arrived on 11-09-2012  for a night stay - business trip - I was told I could not checked in as too early (midday, the check in at 14:00 pm). That day - Monday - the restaurant was closed and I had to take a 'take away' at lunch time as I did not have possibility to go to eat out as I had no car. No dinner therefore available.
The following day a long argument as I had to leave at 8:00 am and no breakfast before 08:00 am was available!
I asked about Wi-fi but it did not work in the room...not informed in which area I should have connected.
Very unfriendly, very rigid and very unhelpful. Avoid
