We spent a week in early October 2016 at La Colline. It was an ideal location for us to visit Sarlat and the must-see places in the Dordogne as far as Domme, Monpanzier, Beynac, etc.
The Gite we stayed in was spotless and had everything we needed. By the time we got there Jenny greeted us and got us some supplies (as it was a Sunday and most shops were closed) and advised us that we could be her last guests. We had the whole place to ourselves!
We were sadden to hear that Jenny's husband, Dave was very ill in hospital and she had to shut down the B&B and cancelled a whole lot of bookings; she kept ours open as we were coming from a long way. Jenny said that she may have to sell La Colline and told us not to bother writing a review. In spite of her request I felt I should do justice to her hospitality, the standard of La Colline and show her some support in this her very difficult time.

Idyllic

We stayed for 7 nights in the Gite from 24th August - 1st September.  Jenny greeted us on our arrival showed us round and also provided us with various information leaflets and maps of the local area and places to visit.

The gite was immaculately clean and very spacious. The kitchen had everything you need, oven, kettle, toaster, microwave and coffee maker even providing cleaning provisions.

The main bedroom had a very comfortable double bed with tv with English channels, another bedroom with bunkbeds and a fully fitted bathroom.

Lush towels and facecloths were provided with immaculate bed linen.

We had a terrace to sit out on with garden furniture and fully equipped barbeque.

There was also a beautiful sun terrace around the back of the gite with extremely comfy sunloungers.  This then led onto the grassed garden with tables & chairs.

As the weather was so hot throughout our stay Jenny even provided us with a fan for our room.  She also gave us endless tips and information about the local area.  We would highly recommend staying here.

Spotlessly clean & comfortable

Had a 2 night stay at La Colline de Pechauriol  on 21/21 June, spotlessly clean room, lovely house and grounds, and plentiful breakfast! couldn't ask for more! 
I would recommend this property to anyone.

Beautiful property

What a great find! The room was spacious as was the bath. A real hair dryer too! The breakfast was nice, standard French breakfast. It is really convenient to town but also to getting out to explore. The hostess speaks English (from London) but, obviously, can speak French too. The yard is conducive to picnicking at the provided tables, so take advantage.  We were the only people there on one particular night and she let us use the oven in the gite, which was certainly appreciated! There is a small kitchen with fridge, freezer, microwave.

Perfect place for exploring nearby

I stayed here two nights. The Belgian hosts recently purchased the property, and are going out of their way to make sure their guests feel welcome. Very friendly and helpful. A very good breakfast. If you stay here, you will need a car. Don't be put off by the semi-industrial area or the little road leading up to it. Once there, the place has a very pleasant garden. You can walk to the old town, but it is not the most scenic walk, and you do have to walk on a busy road for a kilometre. No air conditioning. My room (#1) had a new bed. A pleasant base for exploring the Dordogne.

Good economy choice

We booked in February for August 2023 and cancelled in March, so 4,5 months in advance. They refused our money back! they had no damage. Nothing about this policy on their website were we booked. On booking sites  it sais *pay in advance* and *non-refundable*. So, be careful ! They refused 5 times. we argued: no policy on your website, so no costs allowed afterwards. We payed with Paypal so we  claimed our money back. Paypal forced them to pay back all the money. Horrible experience. They even suggested we claim back our money from our insurance... very  dubious. So book on their own website where there is still no policy mentioned. or do not book at all.
