Where to start? 
The room was lovely, we had room 2 ground floor.
Very well appointed with plenty of storage. Bed very comfortable. Coffee and tea in room.
Very quiet and peaceful at night. 
It was a bit of a tight approach to drop luggage but all ok. Parking is not adjacent but free and up a hill. If you have mobility issues this could be an issue. There are 3 places available on the lower bit but its lucky if you get one. There is a pool available a short distance away.
The location is superb, just a few minutes walk to center. Paths are cobbled and i have a bad knee but managed very well. Market on Wednesday and Friday, both a lovely atmosphere. 
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
Now on to our hostess Gabrielle. Most pleasant and very helpful. She is not on site but very accessible. We had a situation where my husband lost his wallet and Gabrielle was able to locate it for us and it was found intact and collected from police station.
Breakfast was very generous, her husband is a pastry chef, everything delicious but probably not good for the waistline! Home made preserves and yogurt. There was not a thing we didn’t like.
There is a kitchen we could use if needed.
Other guests were very pleasant as well.
Would highly recommend this bnb and if we were to come to this area again would certainly stay again.

Excellent experience

We spent 10 nights at the Key of Songes and enjoyed the situation, the room and common areas, Gabrielle's welcome and her advice for excellent quality tours and breakfasts!! Furthermore, Gabrielle has put in place all the necessary measures to enable her guests to get along safely in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Great stay at the Key of Dreams.

We've been staying at the key of our dreams many times now, and the reception is always perfect: home-made and complete breakfasts, tastefully decorated rooms, big ones, we especially like the romantic, and Mary always listening.

It's great.

Clean room with independent entrance, quiet. Bathroom a little small (not recommended for adults!!) but functional. On the other hand, an aging bed that really deserves to be changed! A large lunch with homemade bread and pastries, homemade yogurt..we could add some fresh fruit to it. A little disappointed that this guest room is not in the inhabitant's house....we are a bit like in a cottage and the pool is not on the spot but a few minutes walk away.

Have a good stay

We recently stayed here for 6 nights.   We were arriving by train and the owner Gabriella was kind enough to come and pick us up from the station even when our train was cancelled and we were 2 hours later than we should have been.   The B & B is in a great location literally a 5 minute walk to the medieval centre.   Being out of the medieval town meant it was very quiet and I certainly would not say it was a dingy scary walk home in the evening like some reviewers have said!!   We had a ground floor room which was a decent size with plenty of storage.  The bathroom was also adequate with a very powerful shower.   Breakfast was a huge bonus!  There was plenty of offer and we certainly would not have starved.   You are allowed to put your own drinks and snacks in the communal fridge which was helpful for a cold drink in the room in an evening.  There is also a nice roof terrace with tables and chairs.   We hired a car after being there a couple of days and the free car park is literally a 2 minute walk from the front door.   We also used the pool that is about a 400m walk from the B & B at the owners home (also a B & B).  The pool was a bit chilly but very welcome when it was 36 degrees, Gabriella even left us towels to use for the pool.  Make sure you listen to the directions to get to the pool we didnt so walked round for half an hour trying to find it.  Once we had located it getting back only took us 10 minutes.   We would certainly visit this B & B again when we visit again.

Quaint B & B in a quiet location with a great breakfast

We booked online for a two night stopover in Sarlat.  Check in details were received, and were quite specific about check-in time - between 5 and 6.30 pm.  That was fine - it fitted in perfectly - but the instructions did state that arrangements could be made for other check in times.
We were welcomed, and shown to our attic room, and shown how to use air con, TV etc.
The bed was comfortable, and there were good blackout blinds making it easier to sleep in on a sunny morning!
The room was super clean, and had a nice fresh smell.  The shower was powerful, and the hot water plentiful.
The room is a little small, but not bad at all.  We were most comfortable.
Breakfast consisted of fresh coffee, juice,  pastries and breads which were home made, and delicious.  There was also cheese, ham, and boiled eggs.  There was home-made natural yoghurt, plus commercial fruit yoghurts, and fruit compote.  All were excellent - as was the home-made fruit tart that was left for us each day.
There was tea and coffee available for free at any time of day.
The location was great, and I would certainly not say it was down a dark ding alleyway!  It was a few minutes walk from the old town, away from all the noise, in a quiet little traffic free street.  Free parking was only 100 meters away around the corner, and up a bit of a hill - but easy to access unless you have mobility problems.
The host was friendly, and offered good advice and tips on the local area.
We enjoyed it enough to stay an extra night.

Nice and friendly, super clean, and a great breakfast

Avoid this B&B there are lots of nice hotels in the centre of Sarlet that are far better value and 100% better experience. The owner needs to attend a customer services course due to her unfriendly nature, especially if you complain. The B&B is in a dingy area of dark at and feels very unsafe, lighting in the street is very poor. Avoid thid place at all cost.

Awful Experiance

Hello, I disagree with what you wrote about the dream key. Obviously you have never stayed there because it is not what you describe! We are customers of the dream key and we come there regularly because we have always been welcomed there with a lot of sympathy. The rooms are beautiful and the household is always nickel. The price ratio is excellent. Besides, we return there at the end of August.

In addition to the location (100m from the medieval town but quiet in a dead end) charming room, very pleasant terrace, tastefully furnished breakfast room and an excellent breakfast house very cozy. Gabrielle, the owner of the place knows how to listen and advise you. A Super Ambiance with the other tenants from all walks of life. A microwave oven and a refrigerator at our disposal.

I'll go back for my own pleasure.

We stayed two nights in this three-bedroom guest room on two different sites. The location is ideal, two steps from the city centre, at the bottom of a very small dead end. The free parking is located 100 metres from the room. Super welcome from our host with a smile, listening and guidance following our various questions. The room is spacious, very well equipped with free access to the municipality and free tea, coffee and infusion. Breakfast is varied, different every morning with a few special attentions. Thanks again for this stay, I recommend for a stay in Sarlat
