We had such a wonderful time at Domaine de la Queyssie.It is such a relaxing place to stay. We had thought when we booked it there would be more around it but the nearby village of Saussignac is quieter than we expected. Once we got our heads around that, and discovered the bus restaurant a short drive down the road (and perfect for sunset) we really settled into this countryside retreat. 
We stayed 6 nights taking 3 rooms. Two in the main house and one in the out buildings. The main house rooms have been renovated more recently and are beautifully done. Our room was also lovely and worked well for us as we have a baby and a buggy so we could wheel right in. There was also a bath in our room. 
There are chickens and a peacock wandering around the grounds, which are vast and there's a real sense of peace here. 
Guillaume and Gabie really make the entire experience. They are just the loveliest people and the most wonderful hosts. Genuine, warm, wonderful with my little Sebastian, friendly and they are both excellent chefs! Gabie prepares breakfast with home made jams and on most mornings, delicious cake! she also makes the desserts for the evening meals and even after appetisers, starter and main made by Guillaume, we always found room we didn't know we had for Gabie's dessert! Guilliaumes food is excellent - we had duck, goats cheese shuffle and even ducks hearts! This was a first for all of us, we were apprehensive but they were delicious!
Staying here was like staying in someones house.. which you are... We could use the kitchen and had space in the fridge for our things, so we could pop my babies bottles and food in, and a bottle of wine/ beers for us to enjoy before dinner. 
We loved our stay here - the hugest thank you to Gabie and Guilluame!

Idyllic setting and the best hosts

We so wanted to like this B&B .....The owner, Guillaume, is charming and clearly wants you to enjoy his home.  The rooms are in an annex (not there large home pictured) and are lovely, the bathroom os spacious and everything is immaculate.  The B&B is close to the airport and Ch Monbazillac, in a quiet rural location,  But -- we could not sleep...There are motion detectors outside the rooms and, all night long, they went off (presumably caused by scampering squirrels, chickens or who knows what), sending blinding light intro the room - waking us over and over again...During the day, we could hear the room next door - conversations, toilet flushing, showers so -  no nap for us...

No sleep...

Guillaume is an outstanding host and his cooking is superb and he couldn't do enough for us during our stay. La Queyssie has great character with spacious accommodation. We would thoroughly recommend staying at La Queyssie.

We stayed one day at this place and felt like home 😊 Guillaume is a really kind and welcoming person always trying to perfectly fit our needs. Great local, healthy and home made food and excellent wine made our stay unbelievable ! Thank you Guillaume

Amazing place !!

Stayed here for two nights with my wife, we had travelled from Sarlat and had booked a full day wine tour at the nearby Chateau Feeley. We were running late and the owner/manager (Guillame) rushed out to say hello when we arrived, when he realised we were running late he offered to drive us up to the Chateau which we thought was lovely. This hospitality was evident through our entire stay, Guillame really is a delightfully friendly and accommodating individual and is one of the highlights of staying here.

we loved this place, its quite isolated so if you aren't having dinner in the house then you will likely need to drive to a nearby restaurant but it didn't really bother us. We stayed in the Sarlat room which was very nice and rustic French, it also had a back door out to a little bit of a private garden. The breakfast was relatively basic but enjoyable all the same. 

All in all a lovely authentic rustic french property with great hospitality.

Lovely rustic friendly accommodation

We stayed here three times whilst our nearby house was being renovated. Guillaume and Gaby are wonderful hosts, and Guillaume is a great chef too - find out by having dinner there! 
Our room was very comfortable, although wifi in our room was weak. This is a great place to stay with so much to see and do (and taste!) within easy driving or cycling distance.
