Very much a budget hotel option. Think unpopular Travelodge on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds, or university accommodation. However, it was good value at less than £60 for a family of 4 for one night in the summer holiday. Only one member of staff on reception, but very friendly and helpful. Handy location for The Ardennes region in France and Belgium.

Budget hotel option, nothing fancy but good value.

If I could give the hotel a NIL mark, I would. Firstly we couldn't get into the room, the receptionist had to shove the door very hard.  The room was so small, there was less than half a metre round the bed.  We couldn't get out of bed until we had rearranged the furniture and put the table on top of the chair. There was nowhere to put anything - no wardrobe or chest of drawers etc.
There was dirt on the walls of the corridor and our room.  The stairs hadn't been vacuumed. 
The bed was very uncomfortable, it sloped into the middle.  The sheets and pillowcase were stained.  There was one ordinary pillow and one square one. 
There was only one clean (foam) cup.
The shower could not be used properly as it did not fit together.
The breakfast was non-existent, apparently they had had a fire in the kitchen 3 weeks ago.  Nobody informed us of this on arrival.  The times for breakfast were displayed in by the reception desk and my husband actually commented on it.. The receptionist didn't say that there was no breakfast.  She couldn't speak English very well.
When I complained in the morning, another receptionist told me I had booked a room only stay. On booking.com, you cannot book a 'bed and breakfast' stay,  the breakfast is extra. 
There was a lot of traffic noise, there was no air-conditioning so we had to have the window open. Pigeons were nesting on the windowsill, so there was a lot of noise from them too.

DON'T GO THERE

Where to even start.  We booked this place as we were traveling through France on sort of a dream vacation.  We only booked for a night. It was just a short stop.  We'll we knew we were going to arrive late sovI began to try to contact the hotel right away in the morning or the day of our stay.  I must have called 6 times.  Never an answer. I left several messages through booking.com.  Never a response.  Their website said latest possible check in was 11 pm.  So we got there as soon as we could.  We arrived to find no one there.  No way to check in and no where for 4 people to sleep.  We found a number and called.  A young girl answered.  She acted like she could understand me a bit so I explained. She then started to say no English.  I think she knew what was happening but refused to help.  We had to spend an hour and like 20 phone calls to find another hotel in luxembourg an hour more away.  Just a terrible experience.  Look elsewhere if you can.

Pros: Cheap
Conveniently close to the motorway

Cons:
Not that close to the centre of town if walking
Towels had a very musty smell suggesting they hadn’t been aired for awhile
Initially given a room that needed cleaning (re: unmade & soiled bed; soiled plates etc)
Décor of room makes you think of a slightly upmarket bordello
Reception staff should be able to speak some English (definitely seem to be able to speak French & Flemish but Receptionist M was rather hesitant & truculent with it)
Didn’t have breakfast so I can’t comment on this – there is an excellent bakery just down the road.  Very nice croissants, pain au chocolat etc. 


Covenient & Cheap; brush up on your French though

Room wasn’t clean, very dated and tired,  very dark and bathroom had no lights as both bulbs were missing, even after they were replaced one blew again, only 2 towels for a family of 4, not worth it at half the price!

Stay elsewhere

Stayed in a 3 bed room, compact but all beds on the ground (no bunks). Room clean and comfortable, nicely decorated. Sedan chateau is around 3 km, 5 min by car with easy free parking. Nearest restaurants are 500 m away, plenty within 5 mins drive. We did not try the breakfast. Excellent value for money.

Nice weekend stay

We book the Kyriad Hotel as our over night stay whilst on our way to the Mosel in Germany as I thought it woul break up the journey after coming of the ferry at Dunkirk and also it then gave us all the next day to travel the other 160miles to Valwig on the mosel, which gave us time to look around Bastogne on the way there. We arrived at the Kyriad at about 5pm and were greeted by a lovely girl on reception who's English was much better than our French which was a great help. We were given our room which was light and airy very clean and tidy and as we found later on very quiet, so a good nights sleep was had. We went into the resturant which opens at 7pm and the food was exellent along with the drinks so all in all we found it to be a good hotel to stay in. We will use it again when we are down that way so that says it all realy.

I booked on their own website and prepaid; NOT  a 3rd party site; have the confirmation right there in the middle of my phone screen; No room, fully booked;
luckily, I speak French; a non francophone may have been screwed; cos I speak French I made it very very clear what her options were; ie find me a room or, find me a room; she did;

the room looked like it had been just evacuated and made over (btw this is after 1800)
stupid me I got in the shower without checking, got out dripping wet and NO TOWELS;
I suffered the indignity of sticking me head out the door and yelling down the corridor; towels came;

TV sparked and fizzled when I turned it on, then stabilised, I managed to view 3 channels without the screen going weird....was told when I asked matter of factly (translation) yes monsieur the connection isn't good; ok, I didn't come here to watch TV anyway>>

night....oh no...the room faces the car park; leaving aside the amorous middle aged couple who apparently couldn't wait to come into the hotel from their car the in and out of cars between around 0600 and 0800 destroyed my plans to sleep in
