The Fifi Moulin hotel has a modern feel for a historic hotel built in 1840. It is a five minute walk to the centre of the historic town of Serres  in France and similarly five minutes to the commercial centre. 
We booked  a room with a terrific view out over the new town to the hills of northern Provence. Our room was pleasant and functional and did not have old furniture but comfortable and user-friendly up to date facilities.
Breakfast was a good traditional French one with croissants, fresh bread, traditionally made jams, yogurt, tea or coffee, all at a reasonable cost. 
Madame the owner was charming, helpful and welcoming.

Overnight transit en route to Grenoble

Very friendly owners who are so welcoming.  
The hotel is boutique style and is very clean, with modern rooms.  We had  a large, comfortable room with windows that we could open to enjoy the breeze.   Serres is a tiny village, which is cute, close to Sisteron and Gap. The hotel seemed really popular with hikers and bikers.  While small, Serres has some nice restaurants—traditional French ones but also Creole, Chinese.

Great little hotel

Comfortable small family-run hotel in a small town with some medieval character.   Hotel has good off-street parking.  Muriel and Gilles were gracious hosts; Gilles helped with our bags as there is no elevator.

Nice stop south of Grenoble

Excellent. Beautiful room great view. Best breakfast so far on the trip. Pot of great coffee and wonderful locally made jams on the table for us. Lovely Madame at Monsieur.
Very motorbike friendly. Highly recommend. 

Bike Trip 2018

Nice place to take à break with terrific view on mountains 'hautes alpes' . Head of hôtel @Muriel&Gilles are so awesome people. Grab the opportunity to dive your body in buech refreshing River with its pool sides and go back with the most famous jams during early breakfast at #Fifimoulin 😉

Welcome Fifimoulin

Small and friendly, clean and tidy. Breakfast OK. Vietnamese restaurant attached but did not use it. Nice local Restaurants and Bars close by. Pleasant and hekpful staff. Nice little village with local shops.

Small and Friendly

Good overnight stop in a small hillside village adjacent to the River Bueche. Although apparently a 3* hotel , inmo, it's really more like a 2* one with the limited facilities available, however this did not detract from the overall ambiance of the hotel. The welcome and service provided was excellent and very friendly. 
The room was ok, no air conditioning, which was a negative on a very hot day, however the room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good, and there were a number of small restaurants close by in the village centre. Overall my opinion is that this is a good value traditional hotel in a very pleasant location, and we would have no hesitation in staying here again.

Good place to stay overnight

Valuing an hotel excellent (5 stars given) is a risky option. It depends a lot on the context. Fifi Moulin is a very nice hotel in the middle of a village in Alpes Haute Provence. The welcome was so warm and nice, you feel at home at once. They show you the available rooms. A very nice sleep in a really conform table bed. A truly nice place, fair price and beautiful surroundings. What else can we ask?
