An inviting and comfortable stay. Our hosts Cristina and Guilio were wonderfully helpful and entertaining. 
The beach is only 200m away and although there is a convenient bus stop just outside the door, we enjoyed the 25min walk each day along the beachfront promenade in to the Old City. 
Breakfast is served in a light-filled room with freshly baked treats each day. The rooms are homely, clean and comfortable with great hot showers and comfy beds. 
Their home is full of wonderful memorabilia and Guilio’s CD collection plays softly through the lounge each day. 
Cristina is also a beautiful cook and we took up the option of a home cooked evening meal which is highly recommended. 
Thank you Cristina and Guilio, you made our stay very special. 

A wonderful stay.

Cristina and Giulio were wonderful hosts - their recommendation for places to have lunch or dinner were excellent. Breakfast is generous and Cristina bakes a little surprise for breakfast every day which is a lovely touch. The house is lovely, the feel is more of a home than a B&B, it is located within walking distance of the beach and 30 minutes walk from St Malo intra-muros. We would like to say a big thank you to Cristina, Guilio and not forgetting Arthur, the king of the castle for making our stay so enjoyable

Lovely B&B - wonderful hosts

Cristina welcomes you wholeheartedly to her eclectically decorated, quaint, secure, and homey bed and breakfast - breakfast which is a great spread, served in a common room, family style, with a terrace/patio option in good weather.  Our room was decorated to feel like home.   A very short walk to the beach, Cristina provides beach towels for you.  And the breakfast is very good!  I mentioned Far Breton in passing, and she made it the next day.  Most importantly, Cristina truly wants you to have a comfortable and fun stay and recommends activities and gives helpful hints.  Value for the modest price is excellent.  Highly recommended!

Very Welcoming, Near Beach, Nice Breakfast!

With heavy hearts  my husband and I just left this gem of a b and b. The owners are welcoming and the food was delicious. A nice surprise was
the size of the room- large with a pretty view.

Christina and Guilio have excellent ideas for things to do and places to eat. We changed our plans at their suggestion and we were happy we did so.

FYi: The beach is across the street and St. Malo's walled city center is a 30" walk from the house. 

Wonderful B and B

The service from Christina and Giulio was superb.  We were welcomed after an overnight crossing with coffee and cake and had access to our room straight away even though we were not booked in until the afternoon.
Our room was excellent, the bed was extremely comfortable and the ensuite facilities were good.
We opted to eat in the B & B on our first evening and the meal that Christina prepared for us was beautiful - do try the gnocchi, definitely the best I've tasted.  The price included a very good bottle of italian wine as well as a glass of pudding wine - excellent value.
The breakfast was very good, fruit salad, yogurt, croissant, bread, homemade preserves and italian/french cakes, all washed down with excellent coffee.
We travelled without a car and found the location to be fine, a little way from the old city but we enjoyed using the local bus service which was extremely reliable.  It is lovely being so close to the beach and we enjoyed a swim in the sea and many walks along the seafront.
All in all we had a lovely stay in St Malo and I would not hesitate to recommend the Maison Angelus.

Welcoming and comfortable accommodation

Christina and Gulio are amazing hosts.
They welcome you into their beautiful home, which is warm, clean and comfortable.
Christina presents the most wonderful breakfasts, where it is easy to linger and chat to other guests in a relaxed atmosphere, she will also prepare dinner if desired by you. I must also mention King Arthur, their little dog who enjoys lots of attention from the guests and greets you when you return from a day sightseeing. 
We cannot wait to return to this lovely place and feel we have made new friends

Fantastic

I was greeted like an old friend upon my arrival, even though it was my first visit to Maison Angelus.   The whole family were utterly charming, and most helpful, advising on the best places to visit, and even checking that I had got in safely at night as a woman traveling alone..   It has a boutique feel, with lots of interesting art and books, my room was light and airy, and the bathroom clean and modern.   Breakfast was a mix of traditional French and Italian fare, and dinner consisted of 3 courses of Italian cuisine beautifully cooked by Cristina.   Mention must also go to Arturo, the little guadian of la Maison with the waggy tail.   I would highly recommend Maison Angelus, it made my visit to St Malo perfect.

A fabulous place to stay with wonderful hosts.

We have stayed at the Maison Angelus three times now, and have enjoyed it immensely every time. From the wonderful warm welcome we received upon arrival, again nothing was too much trouble for Cristina and Giulio in their efforts to make our stay the best it could be. Our room was large and quiet, overlooking the garden, with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was also large and modern, with an efficient powerful shower. We ate each evening at the Maison Angelus in the spacious dining room, and really enjoyed the food and wine selection chosen by our hosts. With regard to the location, the beach is just a few minutes walk away, which was very convenient for us. There is a supermarket and bakery at the end of the road, where you can get snacks and drinks to take to the beach if you want a picnic lunch. We will definitely stay with Cristina and Guilio again at the Maison Angelus, that's for sure!

Another excellent holiday at Maison Angelus

Though I would not have thought it possible, my second (& certainly not last) stay with Cristina & Giulio at Maison Angelus exceeded my first stay four years ago. Though Saint-Malo offers plenty of enchantments, it was my stay at Maison Angelus that made my trip most memorable. Their home is gorgeous - filled with books and art treasures collected over a lifetime. The bed was exceedingly comfortable and the sheets were of the highest quality. Both nights I slept soundly, eager to awake to a gorgeous breakfast of Italian coffee made to order, Cristina's homemade jams, warm croissants, an Italian cake, and a locally-made organic yogurt. I highly recommend to all guests that they choose to experience one of Cristina's delicious Italian dinners and, when in Brittany, the gorgeous and bountiful seafood platter. Not a single detail was left to chance. Delicious food and warm hospitality thus characterized my experience at Maison Angelus. I simply cannot recommend it highly enough! *Additionally, Cristina and Giulio offer a packed-lunch service - of which I wish I had taken advantage.They are also endlessly helpful in planning excursions in Saint Malo and to its environs.

A Forever-Favorite Destination & the Most Charming of Hosts

Giulio and Cristina are the most unbelievably friendly couple dedicated to making your holiday a time to remember. 
The cuisine is homemade using fresh produce selected personally by Cristina. The portions are based on quality not quantity,  Each meal is a really special experience with delicate new flavours to treat your taste buds, giving a new experience with food.
