Just stayed for 2 weeks at this little gem- our kind of site not too big! Accommodation was spotless, staff friendly and made you feel welcome. We were the only English on the site but that didn't matter. Site very busy when we arrived as it was the French Whitsun weekend but was quiet after that. We love holidaying early June it is our ideal time. If you are English take a kettle  but if you love coffee you will find a large filter coffee maker! We didn't use the pools but they would keep children happy. Bar and bar food good and if you want milk or bread you can get it on the site..
The site rents out bikes and there are loads of safe biking tracks and walking tracks. Visit the castle at Talmont St Hiliare  5 euros entry fee, walk around the lake and follow the paths.
Thank you all at Loyada- will certainly visit again

Little gem of campsite

Single mum with 2 teenage boys.
We just came home after 1 week at this camping. 
Overall I was very happy with everything.
I had originally booked a lodge via a booking website in the UK but was then told this was no longer available so we were upgraded to a mobil home for 4 which was perfect for us.
The mobil home itself was great!! Very clean, loads of plug points, really well equipped (except no sunbed which is a shame).
The pool was great, even if it could be a little deeper. There are plenty of sunbeds but it can get busy (which is normal).
The slides are pretty cool too and there is a decent sized indoor pool for when it's a little cold outside (always open with the main pool). Would be good to have the pool open a little later than 20hr00 on hot days.
Not that I took part but there were activities throughout the day for kids, teenagers and adults, as well as a different entertainment each evening. 
Good selection (and value) in the snack bar (we had a couple of decent pizzas).
A shame that there isn't a tennis court but there is a multisport court (a tiny bit small).
An issue I had was with the table tennis area. 2 tables, one of which is warped so cannot really be used, and the whole area is actually quite dirty with loads of cigarette butts and sadly a smell of urine - could really do with a once over.
My main issue was the wifi though. As the network connection is poor in the area, even with 4G, you need wifi. And with 2 teenages, you NEED wifi!! I had to purchase it and it's really quite expensive. 
The staff was really nice, especially Isabelle at reception. She was really friendly, helpful and took time to have laugh with my boys. 
The other little lady at reception (with glasses, I didn't catch her name) was also very helpful.
When I ran out of gaz one evening, after the reception had closed, I managed to speak to the Director and her Assistant as they were in the bar and they ensured someone came round the swap gaz canister, which was greatly appreciated. 
All in all, a really good experience, despite a few niggles. 
I would definitely return, and recommend. 

Overall very happy

We have just come back from a great week here. The accommodation was spotless, the facilities were great for a week’s break and the bar and shop team were really friendly. It’s true that only one person really speaks English, however, if I wanted to speak English I should probably stay in England on holiday.  The animators were very welcoming and we managed to join in a couple of evening activities, both of our boys had a great time playing with the French children as well. We all remembered much more French than we thought we would. The campsite is about a mile away from cycle routes, which are a great way to explore the area and the cycle paths are pretty flat so that all you really remember from the 17k ride to les Sables d’olonnes are the great views. You can get fresh bread and croissants on site and the food service from the bar is really reasonably priced. Would really recommend it, if you want to have a holiday in France.

The only English on the campsite

Stayed for a week on our way back from Gascony, where we had a great time. We were prepared to be disappointed, but loved it just as much. Great staff, especially in reception, Isabella was particularly helpful and friendly. Vans are equipped for the French, coffee maker as apposed to a kettle. Beautifully maintained site. Choice of outdoor or indoor (heated) pool which was great for cooler days.

Lovely small site

We arrive expecting great things after seeing it had 5 stars and offered everything we were interested in well what a disaster . There wasn't the climbing wall offered . The archery wasn't available directly on site either.. the pool was both tiny and freezing .the pool was also in a poor state of repair. There was only one table tennis table . Nothing was available in any other language except French . The emplacements were so cramped  here one day and can't wait to go home . The mobile home was so poorly furnished no over in cooking tools nothing . NEVER AGSIN.

So disappointed 

Had basic caravan but was shocked to see no oven, all cutlery, dishes and glasses had to be washed as they were dirty. Not what u want on arrival. Bar was lovely and clean. Pool great. No sunbeds for caravans. BBQ tiny. Lovely site. Child's club only in French from what we saw. Our main issue was with the caravan. But next time we will pay extra to get upgraded. Even though a basic caravan should have clean glasses etc. Will be back in future though.
