We stayed for a fortnight in a privately owned 'chalet' on this small site.  We chose the site as my daughter and her friend had both been ill and were not able to walk long distances - the great location 15 minutes from the sandy beach and 10 minutes from the port and cafes plus the swimming pool on site meant they could have some independence and not have to rely on us for lifts everywhere.
The staff on this site were the friendliest I have met in 30 years of travelling in France, and nothing was too much trouble. They all spoke some English.
 I called in advance and asked for a quiet plot, which we were given.  We were fortunate to be on the edge of the site which gave more privacy, as plots in the middle of the site were well-spaced side by side but very close backing on to each other.  Some plots opposite the bar would have been very noisy while entertainment took place until midnight each night.
This is quite a small site and the entertainment was fairly low-key with karaoke (mostly French tracks), a 'repas convivial' where visitors sat down together to eat and meet, a disco and some live music.  There were activities for kids and teenagers but we didn't use them.  There were also some daytime activities for adults - aqua-aerobics every morning for example.
The pool is quite small and would feel very crowded if the site was full - we travelled before school holidays and the site was roughly 2/3 occupied, mainly by French families.  There was just about room for a cooling dip but it wasn't possible to swim more than 3 or 4 strokes most of the time.  There were a reasonable number of new-looking, comfortable loungers round the pool as well as some chairs.  Everyone was asked not to reserve loungers if not in the pool area and mostly this was respected.  As the French take lunch seriously, we found that going to the pool between 12 and 1.30 meant we could always get some.
Our chalet was small but perfectly adequate, with two (very small) bedrooms, sofa that just about seated 4, table & chairs, and small kitchen with 4 gas rings and a microwave.  We were lucky with the weather and spent most of the time on the deck.  Beds were new-looking and comfortable.  We were pleased we took small fans with us as it got quite warm in there.
Overall we thought this was a good site and great value for money.  If we return to the Vendee we would certainly be happy to stay there again.
