We were two families for the night and then a group of 24 adults and children the following day to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday. We had the most incredible time and could not have been looked after better by Jeremy and his team - the food was delicious, the tents were so comfortable and the location is incredible! Cannot recommend highly enough!

An amazing place for kids and adults!

On Altipik I reserved the (iglo shaped)  2 persons tent (Wapi). Which had super cute details of useful organic equipment. The 2 person's bed was comfortable (hotel quality) and kept me warm during the night. I am a experienced camper and also luxury business traveler; my conclusion is that the staff and location is absolutely a lifetime experience and come back with my two sons! My stay was in August 2021 and the tents etc are upgraded compare to the picture here. 

On the first evening I was asked if I would like diner and breakfast organised during the stay and flexible anyway. The diner was served in a Box containing good quality cheese fondue and equipment to let it prepare or prepare my self. :-)

Unique experience of freedom and rest / Fantastic accommodations and location & staff

We spent a night in the Zaltana lodge .  The camp is so beautiful in the snow, we were lucky enough to get lots of fresh snow in the time we were there. The tents themselves are very comfortable, with the fires easy to manage and we really enjoyed making our fondue in the tent that night.  Breakfast was simple but tasty.  Lots of sledging and rolling in the snow for the kids and watching the team of husky dogs. We didn't have the time to do much more than a short walk in the forest but lots of potential.  We will definitely be back.

Snow camping

It is hard to be fair with this accommodation as the owner is charming.  If you are looking for an unusual stay and want to pay for having no facility you may enjoy the experience. however, when compared with other similar types of accommodations "glamping" this one Is five time more expensive. 
I booked the accommodation at the last minute for the five of us without checking in details what the property was offering. this is what we got:
When we arrived we could find the reception, (nothing indicated where it was) after circling around the tent I asked a person who was maintaining path in the snow, It was the owner who showed us to our Tipi. The place was freezing cold but he said to come back at 5 PM (regular checking time) and the fire will be on. As I was leaving luggage in the Tipi I was told that the door had no locks but this didn't seem to bother the owner.  I mentioned that we will not be eating on site as we had already reserved a meal with local friends at a nearby restaurant. We arrived at 10.30 pm after our meal, The place was very quiet and charmingly lit, the snow absorbing all noises under a full moon and stared sky. None of our luggage had disappeared when we entered our pitch-dark Tipi warmed by the stove's fire.  
There is no electricity but some handy mining type of battery powered lamp. Two of us want to bed while we played a game of scrabble enjoying the rest of the evening. An hour later after feeding the fireplace with a single log (as recommended) then we want to bed. Three hours later I  was waking up by the bitter cold, the fire had gone and needed to be restarted, An operation during which the tipi was filled with smoke and the only option was to open the door (now window) to let the -9 c bitter cold. I was also very thirsty and no water was left. I dressed up and make my way to the toilet (60 yards away in the snow.) in hope to be able to refill the water bottle. As the tap was not working I noticed a 2-liter flask on the side of the sink, and finally managed to fill the bottle with mildly warm water. By the time I reached our tent, everyone was awake some dressed up to fight the cold other making their way to the toilet, We had a good laugh I must said, but that was due to our good humour. We all want to bed as the fire was raging, only to be awake an hour later becasue the place was "Too hot" particularly for the person slipping on the top of the bulk bed. Every one was thirsty and there was no water left, We tried to meld some snow but there was no recipient that could sustain the heat of the fire. In the morning the owner walked into our room to feed the ire (he has warned us that he will). The breakfast was on the table, organic bread to a pot of jam 100 gr of butter orange juice, instant coffee and tea for £9 per person.Then we find out why there was no towel in our room: there was no shower room, the only water we had to wash we drunk it the night before. All in all, we had a lovely time since we laughed a lot at our experience but for a grand total of 254 euros, it was not an experience that I will renew. A warm local mountain refuge will be about £20 per person including water shower and kitchen, This experience reminded me of a fine lingerie, the less there is the more expensive it gets...

Good fun but seriously overpriced

Great night away in these tents.  The location is spectacular and the tents are clean and very well designed.  Very comfortable with a proper bed and matress and wood stove to keep you warm as the sun goes down.  The kids particularly liked the amimals.  Breakfast was as much bread and jam as you can eat with cereals and yoghurt.  Plenty of stunning walks today in the area.

Altipik Tents

We were a party of 17 staying this weekend at Altipik. It was a lot above my expectations. We all loved it, the children and adults. The location is amazing, the tents are beautifully decorated with a lot of attention to details, very clean. There are many nice hikes around. Jeremy is a great host and the meal was excellent! A lot better that you would usually get at such places. Don't get fooled by the simple menu - it is delicious. 
The only downside are the double beds which are not comfortable. All other beds are great.
