Surprised to arrive at the house: located in the middle of the city, in a residential area, the house is nestled in the back of a beautiful garden! Our guests welcomed us very warmly and the room is very pleasant and comfortable. We enjoyed the quiet of the night. Breakfast is excellent with homemade jams and bread. An address we recommend! And to get out into the city, you don't have to take the car, the tram passes nearby.

An oasis in the city

When I came with my family, I tried the alix garden that was recommended to me and I wasn't disappointed, very quiet and soothing corner, a house with a lot of charm. Our hostess was very friendly, listening to our needs and her breakfast was quality home. We really enjoyed being able to also get to lille in less than 15 minutes by car or tram. I also recommend this b&b and I plan to return to it myself!

For our third stay at the Alix Garden, we are always delighted to be welcomed by extremely friendly guests. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. The breakfast is delicious and the jams delicious.

Nice stay at the Alix Garden.

This is a querky accommodation with Alex who tries hard to make sure you are catered for.

I personaly loved the accommodation, but Wendy was not that taken. There is everything there that you could need and Alex provides homemade cakes, biscuits, yogurt and conserves for breakfast. Ask her, or share what you want to do as she will give you clear ideas how to enjoy your time there.

Lille is a short tram ride away, which is easy to use and Lille old town iis beautiful. Great if you want to stop, shop or just soak up the old buildings.

Great base for Lille

Very nice house, nestled in a gorgeous diverse garden. There are paintings hanging all over the place, which gives a lot of charm inside and gives a good feeling of being with real people. I really enjoyed it (if I had wanted a neutral environment, I would have been at the hotel). The room was cute, very quiet, with a comfortable bed and a clean and modern bathroom/WC. Delicious lunch and large enough for us two, with lots of small things (including a jam panel in houses, Miami). Very nice and discreet home to see, maybe a little. If you were looking for a nice cornerway, it's ideal. I couldn't always use the rest, but I was asked to read a book, but I didn't go to the bathroom, but it was a great way to get around the living room.

It's a romantic and quiet parenthesis, a very nice weekend.

Le Jardin d'Alix is a comfortable and agreeable B&B, which makes a good alternative to a stay in Lille itself. The proximity to easy and quick public transport, combined with lower fees than the city itself, make it a good base of operations to visit Lille and the larger area.

It caters a simple, continental breakfast and has spacious, basic rooms. The B&B is surrounded by a large garden, which makes staying there quiet and relaxing.

Comfortable and agreeable

Nice to have chosen Alix's garden to visit Lille (tramway 3 min - 15 min drive about - no need to take the car left in the private parking lot!) Very nice house full of charm, quiet- beautiful garden (the nature in the city) welcoming and discreet hostess - its pts are already succulent and copious with many home-made jams, cakes etc... very comfortable mattress, excellent bed suite, gde bathroom - Nothing to reproach - A RECOMMANDER

A most enjoyable stay: comfortable bed and bedroom, quiet environment, warm welcome.... and a delicious breakfast with a selection of homemade jams !

My wife and I have stayed at Le Jardin d'Alix on two occasions. Alexandra and Patrick are most welcoming and very helpful with information about the local area. The rooms are comfortable, spotlessly clean and have a pleasant outlook over the secluded garden. Breakfast is plentiful and the homemade jams are particularly delicious. During our last stay we visited two fabulous art galleries - the Piscine at Roubaix and the Louvre at Lens - both easily accessible by public transport from this accommodation. Both rooms represent excellent value for money. We have stayed at very many bed and breakfast accommodations in France - Le Jardin d'Alix falls very much within our top favourites.

A very comfortable and convenient oasis.

I was a guest of Mrs. Alexandra several weeks this year during my business travels. I must say that I was welcomed as if you were my home. The property is very comfortable and you can breathe the air of the old days. The quiet of the area gives you a chance to rest perfectly noiseless. The breakfast in the morning is a pleasure for every time, how it is presented,  for the quality and genuine food, and for the environment proposed on old and massive oak table next to the wood burning fireplace, in this period always on ;-).
