Loved the room, overlooking the fast-flowing Rhône river.  Comfortable bed, good linen, lots of space (not overcrowded with furniture).  Super modern bathroom.  Try to book parking in their garage if arriving by car.  There are only a few spaces.  Otherwise you have to park in large car park about 5 minutes away.

This was our first visit after a major renovation and we enjoyed an excellent overnight stay. What made our stay that much more enjoyable was that the rooms are now air-conditioned. We have been there nearly 20 years ago whn the rooms were very hot in summer and the noise from the road was too loud with the windows open.

An excellent overnight stay

Comfortable hotel owned and managed by the wonderful and kind Mathilde!  Our renovated room exceeded our expectations - It was spacious, spotless and had the most comfortable bed!  The bathroom was huge!  Rooms were quite and had the latest of needs - heated towel racks, safe, rain shower, coffee set-up, flat/sparkling water, separate toilet room, darkening blinds; the amenities were beyond our expectations!!  Parking can be reserved in the building and Mathilde helped us in and out of the garage (which is right next to the elevator).  Breakfast was huge and in a beautiful room overlooking the river!  The location was perfect - right in front of the pedestrian bridge!

So Comfortable!!

We were looking for an overnight stop on the route from Eurotunnel to Provence and we found this hotel in Tournon. We had booked a family room which was spacious. The service is excellent. They didn't advertise parking but they had one very secure indoor garage which was bonus

A good value hotel for an overnight stop or more

My wife and I stopped last minute and  were well recieved, I am on crutches and Olivier change our room to a lower level without a fuss, great sleep, lovely fresh towels.
Breakfast was excellent, lovely cheeses and breads!

Great Price, great place!

What a nice hotel! First class service, really good breakfast, nice room, and when you walk out the door you have the beautiful River right in front of you and Hermitage just across. It could not have been better. Merci beaucoup to the manager who always gave her big smile away :) I`ll be back!

A young energetic owner does this hotel to a pleasant stay and her breakfast is great with varieties of bread, excellent coffe, not from horrible automatic machine, homemade youghurt fuit, etc. nice garden bar, spacious rooms, and the old building giving all an athmosphere.

We stayed here for one night with our 2 daughters on our way down to the South of France. The hotel is in a stunning location right on the banks of the Rhône and looking out onto the hills and the bridge. We had emailed the hotel in advance to book a parking space in the garage which was great, but there seemed to be lots of free parking on the surrounding streets. The owner was really welcoming and helpful when we arrived and left. The quad room we had was huge, really clean and had everything we needed. The air conditioning was a welcome bonus and we had a lovely view from our room. We ate dinner and breakfast on the outside terrace, the food was excellent and a very good selection for breakfast. Tournon had lots of lovely little streets and restaurants to explore. We would definitely go back and would stay at Le Chateau again.

Lovely Hotel in a Beautiful Location

Good location on the bank of the River Rhone.  Great view over river and the vineyards on the hills. A budget hotel, clean and tidy, it was  perfect for a one night stopover. Perfectly placed to explore explore the old town. 
The hotel has limited parking available but there was plenty of free parking two minutes walk away. In the summer, this would be packed and parking would be difficult.
Our room had a view over the river, ensuite bath and separate toilet.
