We traveled to Mar De Plata for 7 days. Stayed at the Hotel Saint Jean.  Generally speaking, you have to be very careful about where you stay in Argentina, like many other places around the world. This hotel was in the perfect location, in the middle of their shopping disctrict- Guemes.  Additionally, there are plenty of fantastic restaurants within walking distance. 
In regard to relaxation, the hotel has a fantastic heated indoor pool.  I would spend every morning there, gaining energy for the rest of my day.

Best Location in Town

We had hoped to stay at the hotel on our way to Limoges. However due to the D-day commemorations in Normandy, the port of Ouistreham was closed and so were most of the roads in the Calvados region. Our ferry crossing was changed to Cherbourg which also added an hour and more to our journey. This meant that it would have been impossible to reach the hotel at a reasonable hour. I explained our difficulty to the manageress on the day before our planned arrival and she told us to contact booking.com with whom we had booked. Their agent was very helpful and she also tried to change our booking to a later date for our return journey through France. She was rebuffed as well. So don’t expect any favours from this place whatever it’s like. It’s certainly off our list.

Don’t expect any flexibility or consideration here.

Nice hotel in downtown Tours, easy access (public parking close-by), rooms were comfortable and clean, though a little on the small side. Newly renovated bathrooms. Breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly.

Nice hotel in Tours

We spend a good couple of nights here exploring Tours. If you're there on the right day, the market is right outside. The buzzing streets of the old town are close by on foot and you don't have to worry about parking as this can be arranged for a small fee. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was tiny - we are tall people and had to shuffle a bit in the bedroom and bathroom but for the time spent in it, it was clean and comfy. The only window was high up the wall but it let in sufficient air. My allergies were provided for on request and breakfast was excellent value.

A tiny place at the heart of the action

The hotel is an ideal first stop when we travel down through France to Spain, there is a large car park across the road which is free overnight and starts charging at 09:00 but beware on the night before market days (Wednesday and Saturday) as there is no overnight parking and cars will be towed away..The hotel is walking distance from the old town where there are a number of bars and restaurants for all tastes. The rooms are clean and tidy but compact. The continental breakfast was good but whether the price represented good value I’m still unsure. 

Ideal Stopover

We stayed in room 10 for one night, this faced the Main Street and was directly above the bar but noise was not a problem at any time.
Room was really clean.
Little in way of storage - hanging space was available but in the large bathroom not the bedroom area - and this might have been a problem for more than one night.  It made no odds to us for a short informal stay.
Suspect every room different, hence quirky comment.  It is a very old hotel and this was all part of the charm for us.
Hotel staff were great really friendly and helpful.
Car parking was perfect and secure.
Excellent breakfast.
Really good location - can’t get more central.  Hotel price very reasonable given location and compared to food prices in local restaurants in the old town.
