I will start with the weak points: the hotel seems made of cartoon, wifi very weak and not available in the rooms, the rooms a little bit smelly, no reception, no elevator, no English speakers even if they state so! On the other hand is a chic hotel, the staff is more than helpful, the food in the restaurant is nice, the location also good. It was not the maximum, but I enjoyed my stay there so that's why I am giving 5 stars. 

Lovely!

This Hotel is of a type increasingly hard to find in France, embodying a bar, restaurant and hotel, run by a family.  The proprietor and staff are friendly and obliging. The room was clean and adequate, and the restaurant  was good quality and value.  Highly recommended.

Simple and correct family run hotel

This was basically the only hotel available on our cycle route. Seemed very organised and well run. On arrival there was a note on reception stating which room I was in, the wifi codes etc. No frills, but clean, comfortable beds, lots of hot water and wifi - that's all I needed. We didn't have dinner in the restaurant as a set menu was about 25 euros, much too pricey. The town is very small and quiet, but lovely for a night or two.

Nice little hotel.

We arrived and like the look of the hotel which was in a great location. We required WiFi to book our next hotel (one reason we booked was free WiFi) but were advised they didn't have any and had not done so for several weeks due to changing their supplier. They did give us a glass of wine to compensate. The room was adequate but could do with upgrading. The most disappointing thing was there was no hot water in the morning so we had to have a cold shower, not a pleasant experience before a journey.

Lovely location but .......

Frankly, this was one of the most pretentious and poor-value meals we have ever had the misfortune to experience. The portions were absurdly mean and the prices were exorbitant. For us, this was a typical example of a chef whose supposed talents had gone to his (or her) head. I had the local speciality - Bourg-en-Bresse Chicken, the one with the blue legs which is supposedly  the only bird in the world to have its own designation as a government-certified appellation. All I got was a scrawny leg with a metal ring around it to certify its provenance; the amount of meat on the thigh was minimal and, I thought, of poor quality. The leg sat balanced on a blob of mashed potato, surrounded by half a dozen or so miniscule cubes of vegetables, for the staggering price of 33 Euros. My wife had Perch, which she pronounced delicious, but this also came on a mere blob of mashed potato and with specks of nano-vegetables. All in all a huge disappointed, and yet the place was packed for Sunday lunch and I can only think that the other diners were desperate for somewhere to go when everything else locally was closed. Sadly, dining in France is not what it used to be.
