Excellent stay with luxurious accommodation, beautiful surroundings and great hosts. Pool and hot tub with coloured lights was a hit with the teenagers and the care shown by the hosts when my mother had an accident was excellent . Very good food recommendations too.

Beautiful countryside stay in picturesque France with excellent hosts

Having done some research before leaving the UK, we wanted a quiet laid back but well appointed stay somewhere and that is exactly what Gites Boutique provides.  
We had a great welcome from Mike and Mandy upon arrival who promptly showed us around and explained everything we needed to know about the local area.  Nothing was too much trouble. 
M&M have mastered the art of being there when needed but are never obstructive and really respect your privacy. They are perfect hosts.  
The gite (Stable End) was well appointed and spotlessly clean and even though we were just 2 it was lovely having the additional space of the second bedroom. 
The pool was a real god send given the 40° temperatures we have seen during our stay.  The property offers the most stunning unobstructed views from the spacious garden and it’s perfect for sitting out and enjoying a glass of something cold in the long hot summer nights.  Ideally situated just outside the village the location is perfect for those wanting to escape busy professional lives. 
We will surely return with friends and recommend to colleagues in the travel industry.

A lovely, perfectly relaxing stay! Thank you! 

We stayed here the first year they opened, August 15. We arrived and couldn’t believe how stunning it was, just like the photos. We stayed for two weeks in Stable End. The gite was lovely and we had an amazing welcome basket. On the second day my husband went to get some snacks at lunch time and saw a mouse on the bin under the sink. We reported this to the owners and then not long after my son saw a mouse in the kitchen doorway when he was sitting in the lounge. The owner put down poison and we tried not to let it spoil our holiday. We had to be so careful with food and had to keep the kitchen spotless and never use the bin. We felt a bit sorry for the owners as it was their first year but had confidence in them sorting the problem. The people in the Breadoven were having mouse issues too which we talked about together. Despite this I decided to book for the following year for a week as the place itself is gorgeous. We arrived sure that the problems with the mice would have been resolved as a whole year had passed.(Couldn’t help but notice that the Welcome basket had drastically deminished and there was no one there to greet us when we arrived.) Sadly regarding the mice this wasn’t the case and we found teeth marks in a pineapple within a day of being there. We complained immediately but were given the impression by Mike that we were the problem! We couldn’t believe there was still a mice problem. The mice were clearly getting in from outside under the sink but the owners just weren’t addressing it. We pressed him to do something about it and he put traps and poison down under the sink. Within a day or two we woke to a dead mouse lying in a trap under the sink. I called the owners and Mike came and removed it. No apology was given and as the week progressed the owners just stopped talking to us. They seemed to blame us that they had a mouse problem in their gite! We tried to find somewhere else to move to but it was high season and impossible at such short notice. We stuck it out and made the most of it but felt on edge constantly about the mice. Food preparation was a nightmare but worst of all the owners treated us horribly. They ignored us completely and treated us like we had done something wrong. The morning we left no one said a word to us. Needless to say we will never go back. Mice can be a problem in the countryside but you have to address it not just ignore it. Also it’s not a cheap holiday so it has to be right. Worst of all was the way the owners treated us.

Beautiful Place but will never go back!

We stayed in the beautiful Stable End cottage for a week during August and had the most wonderful time. Mike and Mandy were charming and helpful, giving excellent advice about local markets, areas of interest and answering any other questions we had. The views from the cottage are magical and the whole area is just beautiful with so many great activities for our young children, from lake swimming to tree top adventures to horse riding. The cottage is cozy and comfortable and beautifully decorated, as is the whole property, and the pool is sparkling with plenty of pool toys to keep everyone happy! A wonderful addition to the stay was the discovery that Mike and Mandy are fantastic cooks and offer dining in the cottage from a great menu they've put together. Highly recommend!

Wonderful stay!

Wow what a place!  On arrival you are greeted by Mike and Mandy who are the perfect hosts, friendly and warm without being obsequious.

We stayed in the gorgeous Stable End which was decorated to a high standard and very clean as you can see from the images.The grounds too are amazing, with special views, and these coupled with the good sized pool and hot tub make it very difficult to leave each day.

When you do venture out, would recommend canoeing on the Dordogne, the drive to Lac de Jamaye, and local restaurant Auberge de Jaure.

Very Gites Boutique!!!

I have stayed at Gites boutique a few times in the last couple of years and it never fails to disappoint. Mandy, Michael and their lovely family took amazing care of me and my friend. Our gite was very clean, warm and cozy. With beautiful surroundings and amazing views anyone who is looking to book here will have a great time! Bring all your friends and family! (Sorry no pictures! I was having to much of a good time)
