We booked this via the Caravan and Motorhome Club (UK) as one of two sites we stayed at on route to the Pyrenees. On arrival you drive down a tree lined driveway with the chateau in the distance. The campsite is small but pitches were adequate. 

Outside reception we could see a marquee and the owner confirmed there was a wedding reception that evening and he didn’t know what time it would go onto. Well it went onto 3am.

For reasons I won’t go into we were staying in a tent not the camper van we were supposed to be in and although the pitch we had was in the far corner as I said the site was small and so despite wearing ear plugs we got no sleep. Not ideal after an early start and a long journey.

As it was low season there was no take away open so we went to another camp site 2 miles away to eat. There is a pool on site which we didn’t use.

Lastly the shower block is very dated and unattractive. It could really do with knocking down and rebuilding to bring it into this century.

We really wanted to like this site but wouldn’t recommend and will be providing feedback to the Caravan and Motorhome Club about their listing of it on their website.

Disappointing

Nice quiet site, very little road noise, good pool which although a little chilly was refreshing in +30 degrees, well positioned for exploring the area, being close to the motorway it does appear to be used as a transit stop for people going south etc. Facilities old but serviceable.

Nice quiet site

We stayed here around 11 years ago when we didn’t have kids. We decided to return for a few nights on our way back to the uk and we didn’t regret it! The place hasn’t changed much but that’s a good thing. Very friendly and kind owners, clean facilities, lovely setting. 
At the end of August it was relatively quiet which was a nice respite from some of the more commercial and large campsites we stayed at on our trip. Our kids loved the freedom of the place and the castle setting. We played the mini golf course which was very old and challenging but also good fun for a few euros. 

It’s a good location for exploring the Château’s of the area, we went to Villandry.

We will definitely return but hopefully it won’t be another 11 years until we do.

Well worth visiting 

Lovely property. From the moment we cycled up the tree-lined avenue towards the striking chateau, we were immediately impressed. Then we received a great welcome. In the morning would recommend the pain au chocolats too 

Impressive

Outstanding and tranqual place. Very clean and tidy site with plenty to do for the kids. Food abd service was also great. Shower nive and warm and toilets very clean. I would highly recomend this place 

Beautiful

We were travelling as a family group with small children. This is a lovely campsite, with good facilities, walks nearby, pool, clean and friendly. The pitches are large, the chateau is beautiful and the location provided a great touring base.

Very nice campsite

The Chateau's campsite is great - excellent facilities, including a lovely pool and substantial recreational areas, and a good bar. The proprietor and his staff are really friendly and helpful, and the campsite and all its facilities are scrupulously clean. Highly recommended!
