Old-fashioned hotel in the proper sense of the word: spacious and comfortable room where nothing is lacking. Breakfast is fresh and complete, served until 10 a.m. weekdays. The staff is pleasant. Good experience.

Family weekends

The old lady at the reception is not kind, the room smells of tobacco, and when you arrive for breakfast on Saturday morning, which is supposed to end at 10 o'clock, there's nothing left and nothing left, the house is clean, the rooms are clean, the hotel is well located.

Kindness to see again, nothing for breakfast

They're running away because services/housing doesn't exist The tables are full of crumbs at the little dej because they consider that giving trays exempts them from cleaning the tables The beds aren't made, the cups used aren't changed and there's no vacuum cleaner while someone went well because the trash can was changed! I'd nevertheless asked for it to be done. My colleague had disgusting toilets when he arrived (he had a field cut during the cleaning but good... what a welcome.) There's better in Troyes but we didn't know it! Three nights on 7th 10th November

Running away, no housekeeping, no good service

We spent one night in this hotel, everything was perfect, very clean room with modern SDeB next door. The meal we tasted was very good accompanied by an EXCELLENT 1st raw Givry. The reception is great in every way. A very important fact: breakfast is rich with very good products, varieties: cheese, charcuterie, fruit, eggs, yogurt, Viennese... you will find your happiness.

What a wonderful discovery.

The Hotel - Restaurant LE ROYAL in Troyes, deserves all the praise. As soon as you enter, you are immediately taken into consideration, people take care of you, as if you were friends. The staff is listening to you, available, friendly, you are like chickens in a pie. At the Hotel level, everything is perfect, at the Restaurant, the room is based on history, the meals are plentiful, excellent. You have a choice. In this ROYAL restaurant, you succumb to the charm of decay, the sympathy of the person,

Clean comfortable good value hotel. Easy walking access to the town centre and very secure parking around the corner. The highlight of our stay was the machine that supplied fresh orange juice for breakfast. We would recommend this hotel for a stopover through France.

Good value hotel

We have just arrived and just wow! For the price we weren’t expecting much but I’m so happy I had to review it immediately. We have two rooms, one for the 2 older boys and a room for us with our younger daughter. She has her own room in an adjoining space (she has been busy laying it all out) and the boys even have a balcony! Super comfy beds, working air con, working mini bar (with an ice cold bottle of water already in it). The two ladies at reception were brilliant despite our ashamedly limited French. The decor is suitably dated, fitting for such a gorgeous old building and is well looked after. The mix of new and old being aesthetically pleasing. The location is incredible. Right in the centre so easy distance to walk for dinner. Such a shame we are only passing through, I would happily stay much longer

Unbelievably good

I stayed one night this month twice, on my way to Calais and then on my return journey. Reception made me feel very welcome and the comfy room plus the excellent food and drink did the rest.

The restaurant is fantastic and very reasonably priced too.

Service, welcome, plus food and drink. Super!

It's a shame there are only 3 people to run a hotel + restaurant, 1h30 waiting to be served because the waitress is alone. We also see the receptionist helping as she can, will miss more than the maid is in the kitchen. Wake up if you want positive reviews, and you should maybe go out in the field to see for yourself the lack of means. Finally, here I am thinking of spending a good evening in a good restaurant, it's really lost.

Disappointed

We spent one night there but it was a nightmare of noise all night people going up and down the stairs with heels of parsonnes who were arguing loudly on the floor of our room and knocking on the doors I left the room first time around midnight to ask for silence and a second time around 4:30 in the morning and there I got insulted it looks like it was people who came to a wedding and stayed in the hotel I want to be fine but in this case we privatize the hotel or we enforce the regulations or the reception did nothing during the night the next day no excuse from the management everyone was low profile at breakfast
