This place looks awesome, but I never got to find out! I arrived the Troyes, and had a terrible time finding it. It is in a gated compound. There us a phone and a doorbell. No one answered the doorbell, or phone. I called my booking agency and they notified me I had to reconfirm my booking 48 hours in advance and there was no one to get a hold of. Stupid me, but it took 3 hours to find a hotel in the area because they were all booked! Each booked hotel tried to help me by calling any number they had for La Villa De La Paix. No luck. Long story, short, just beware of the fine print. Unlike my other hotels in France, they will not contact you if miss the deadline of 48 hours, you just no longer will have access to a room. Dollars down the drain and best wishes for a hotel room!  I learned that it is better to get a 24 hour front desk instead of all the French ambiance of their photographs! Good travel lesson!

You Can't Stay Unless You Read The Fine Print

This is a superb B and B close to the city centre. Set in a chateau full of original art and artefacts, self check in and free onsite parking, everything was perfect. The room was large with a big, comfy bed, chairs, tables, kettle, coffee and tea, which are not always available in French hotels. 
Breakfast was full Continental with warm croissants and pains au chocolat, eggs etc. Etc. And cheap!
We will certainly return when travelling this way again.

What a find.

Full of Old world French character, this is an outstanding B & B in a delightful city.  It is well located for the centre of the city, has secure parking.  WiFi works, and breakfast is great.  No air con, but large fan in the room kept the temperature down. Will definitely return.  Book directly on their website for even better value!

Terrific value in Troyes

A bit different to the usual overnight budget hotel stay.  Quirky and charming at a very good price, very clean, close to the centre.  Good parking through an archway so out of harm’s way right in front of the building.  Access is via a code sent by text or email.  Don’t let this worry you it works well.  We did meet other guests contrary to reviewer below and enjoyed a conversation over breakfast which was very good.  The staff member in the morning was charming and helpful.  We will definitely stay here again.  Lovely meal in Troyes.  Try the beef brisket which they cook for 12 hours!  No air conditioning but there is a fan.  Kettle in the room with a selection of fruit teas available.

Excellent B & B in Troyes

This is a great hotel to stay in if you are in Troyes. It is in a central location, with secure parking and everything you could possibly need. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the place was lovely and clean.

Before you arrive you are sent information by email so that you can check yourself in, which I did. Everything was easy.

The only small downside for me is that I never met another soul in the hotel. My daughter and I checked in, spent the day in Troyes, and some time at the designer outlet just outside the town, came back and at no point did we see either the people who worked there or other guests. We heard other guests and saw cars in the car park come and go, but we didn't actually clap eyes on anyone else for the day and night we were there. 

However, when all is said and done, it was a lovely hotel in a great location and, while other reviewers have said it needs a bit of a revamp, I found it charming, quaint and innately French - and I wouldn't have changed it for the world! 

I would strongly advise travellers to stay in this hotel. . .I would definitely go back and, hopefully, at some point, meet the lovely people who own it!

Lovely B&B in a great location

Our 2nd visit here, stayed for 2 days on way to Switzerland, great location for Troyes, safe parking, friendly and helpful staff with a very nice continental breakfast. Did their best to help with extreme heat by providing fans and a/c unit.

Great B&B in centre of Troyes

We booked 2 nights here so we could explore Troyes on our way to Austria. The place has a great secure car park where we could happily leave our stuff without unpacking the car. The old house is interesting and very clean. As others have mentioned you get a code to access the house as there is no reception but that works perfectly well. Breakfast is the usual but varied and plenty of it. The rooms are quirky and a bit creaky but fine. A good central location and a short walk to restaurants and bars. 

Good location in centre

We booked to stay here as a midway stop off prior to heading onto Calais. The Champagne region has lovely places to stay having stayed at Challons on our original journey south. 

When you book this venue the owners send you a entry code on the day of your arrival. This is normally 2-3 prior to check in. The email then contains the suite you will be staying in within this grand period house in Troyes. It exactly as per the images and the whole house is clean and tidy. It has the added benefit of coming with breakfast (although we had to shoot back to U.K. early) so missed this. 

There is secure parking within the grounds of the house and the property is a short walking distance to the old centre ville.  

A piece of history 

We booked this B&B on our way back home from the Loire Region.  Checking in can be found unpersonal for some (getting a code, room open with the key at the inside), but it didn't bother us.  The room was spacious, clean and with a charming historical character.
In just a few minutes you can walk to the heart of the old town.  So a real toplocation.  Especially if you travel by car, because you can park your car within the premises.
Breakfast was good and the lady very helpful.  We enjoyed our one night as being very quiet at night.
Just maybe one thing, when temperature gets high, no airco but there was a fan.
