Very good student residence two steps from the modern and well maintained UTT. I don't understand the comment below. There is a laundry room and a TV room/work space, the furnished bedding is all equipped and furnished, there is just to lay down my suitcases, it is very convenient. I come from the Paris area and I have been there for two years, I have absolutely nothing to complain about.

It's a very nice place.

Stayed here for overnight stop between South of France and Calais and it was just what we needed. Its a studio apartment- as we'd been camping we had food with us so much easier than trekkng round an unknown town when you're tired. There's also a supermarket round the corner. The email instructions for accessing the building were sent just a few days before arrival- luckily I checked my email or it could've been a problem. 
It was clean, hot- but it was a very hot & humid day- the shutters had been left open so the sun had heated the room! There is parking behind the building- not secure but off the main road and seemed safe enough. 
Would stay here again.

Great over night stop

Room reasonably clean. That is the only good thing. 
Bad- 
- only nets, no curtains. 
- no working air conditioning 
- boiling hot room so you want I open a window but 
- busy road ( and I mean busy road) outside 
- so no sleep
- no mention but road outside also being relaid. They started digging at 6.55am. 
- disgusted that no mention of this was on their website. 
- so noisy that couldn't even hear the movie on laptop that I had turned on as I can't sleep due to heat and noise from the road. 

In short I would never return and would recommend others do likewise. Given this is a stopover for many who face hours in the car the following day a good night's sleep is imperative. Am appalled. 


Never, ever again!!!!

We chose this venue as a convenient overnight stop on the way to the south of France. 

The hotel is a recent build, probably c.2 years old. There is no reception as such, but arrival instructions were sent to us via email prior to or departure from the U.K. This could be a problem if you did not have access to email if , for instance, your trip was already underway. The instructions consisted of an access code for the front door, and a second code to open a safe in the foyer. This in turn contained an envelope with our name on it, which contained a key to our room, and a remote for the car park barrier. There were plenty of vacant spaces in the car park, but the access road does not currently lead on to other premises, so we could have opted not to pay for parking, but to park on the road. 

The building overall was in a clean condition, including our room, but our experience was marred by several items:

1 - The shower rail bracket was broken, so it was necessary to hand hold the shower head at all times. This must have been noticed by the cleaners, but had not been rectified.

2 - There was no toilet roll. Unforgivable! (We found some in a cupboard beyond the ground floor laundry room.

3 - The kitchenette area included a filter coffee machine. This contained a used filter.

4 - The building appears to be home to some students. There was some late night activity involving the arrival and departure of their cars. 

Other reviewers have suggested that the hotel is hard to find. Our Sat Nav took us straight to it, without problems. We walked into the centre of Troyes (turn right out of the front door, then left at the main road, and left again after about 100 metres), in about ten minutes, and dined well in one of many good value restaurants.

So, in summary, our experience was flawed by lack of care by the management. If sorted, this would have received a much better review from us.
