Marie-Pierre and Alain are the perfect hosts. They have restored the rooms in the Manoir to their former glory and have left no stone unturned for comfort. 

We stayed in the Bruce suite which was three rooms over about 120 square metres. The four-poster bed and fireplace in the main room gave a truly regal feel to the place. M-P had put the under-floor heating on prior to our arrival so the capacious rooms had a cosy feel. 

We booked dinner with our hosts. Marie-Pierre is a great cook and the food she served was terrific. We finished up with a chocolate cake to celebrate our wedding anniversary and a sizeable cheese platter. They served us a delightful wine from the local area of Chinon. 

Alain and M-P both spoke good English and enjoyed the opportunity to practice. 

We went on a long walk the next morning to work up an appetite for a beautifully fresh and plentiful breakfast. M-P was very relaxed about what time we wanted to have breakfast and when we wanted to hit the road. 

All in all we had a terrific stay. Perfect location for anyone travelling between the Paris/Loire and Bordeaux. We wish we had more time there. We'll definitely go back when we come over with the kids in a couple of years.

Stunning room with superb hospitality

We arrived after 10.30 pm, having been delayed by a strike at Calais, but were offered a freshly-cooked, four course meal. 
The house is a delight for those whom love historic homes, It has been beautifully and lovingly restored and fully justifies a detour.
This is a place that deserves to succeed; it is a real treasure!

Outstanding hospitality in a beautiful and historic home - deserves a detour!.

We stayed at the Manoir de la Bouliniere for two nights earlier this year, it is is an outstanding building.  Our room was huge with a four poster bed and a view over the garden.  The peace and tranquility was fantastic and despite arriving a day early our hosts were fantastic and arranged for a table at a local restaurant for an evening meal.

Breakfast was superb and the evening meal on the second night was excellent, Marie - Pierre is an excellent cook.

Our hosts were delightful, caring and really made us feel welcome despite our early arrival.

The grounds are very attractive with lots of trees and lawn areas.

Outstanding stay in an authentic restoration.

We stayed here on our way back to the UK from Spain and experienced the most fantastic welcome from our hosts, combined with a beautiful room and an amazing evening meal. We would recommend Manoir de la Bouliniere to anyone!

A beautiful place

Spectacular house, huge impressive rooms, extremely welcoming hosts and the food was excellent. The routine is the have dinner with Marie Pierre and Alain, who are lovely. But if your fellow guests aren't entirely to your choosing the evening can be a little wearing, through no fault of the hosts or the facilities
