We revisited this fabulous Chateau de Sarceaux and definitely wasn't disappointed.  Herve and Jacqui are excellent hosts - always so friendly, helpful and welcoming.  The Chateau is a fantastic building full of lots of the original antiquities - a real joy to visit.  Jacqui cooked a beautiful meal for us, and Herve served us very nice aperitifs beforehand.   We enjoyed real french hospitality.  They had some Argentinian rugby friends staying for a few days and we enjoyed chatting to them also. Their son Eric, was visiting and was every bit as hospitable as his parents!  Breakfast was also excellent and Herve then recommended visiting some very pretty surrounding villages. All in all an excellent stay with excellent hospitality.  We will revisit again.  Well done.

Beautiful Chateau and Gardens

The owners were perfect and welcoming hosts, the rooms spacious, and the chateau is beautifully set in large grounds. Dinner needs to be requested ahead of arrival. Breakfast was a typical French affair of bread, cheese, jam, croissant, fruit and yogurt. 

Beautiful setting and welcoming hosts

Having stayed in a great number of hotels throughout the world, I can say with no doubt whatsoever, that this was one of the best.  The owners Herve and Jacqueline were delightful.  Despite the fact that we were a little out of season, they made every effort to ensure our stay was enjoyable.  The room was perfect and breakfast lovely.  They even offered to drive us to the restaurant in the evening, which they booked for us  (restaurant was also perfect).  Cannot give them enough praise.  Many thanks for a great stay.

We stayed in a charming room with a wonderful view of the grounds. 
Herve and Jacqueline were excellent hosts.
Our four course dinner each evening was lovingly prepared by Jacqueline - simply the best confit de canard we have ever eaten.
Our dog was welcomed too.
We had a relaxing, wonderful time.

Relaxing, charming hotel

The Chateau is the polar opposite of a formulaic chain hotel – what you get is a highly personalized experience in a setting redolent with history, run by charming hosts who take pleasure in sharing their home with guests. It is just delightful. History is everywhere you look, in every room, on every wall, around every corner. I half expected to bump into Cardinal Richelieu or D'Artagnan.

The quality of the surroundings and facilities are exceptional and, if you dine at the hotel, the experience gets even better. The lady of the Chateau is an exceptional cook and together, she and her husband are very convivial hosts. Both the evening meal and the breakfast were magnificent. Our stay felt like a real privilege.

Step back in time

We arrived as a group late afternoon by bike. Our hostess greeted us with bonhomie, and provided us with space to "garage" our bikes, she also offered to assist us with washing our biking clothes which was very kind. The house is magnificent, set in sweeping grounds, with a fishing lake. An aperitif with canapes was served before a delicious dinner including white asparagus, duck and then finished off with some great French cheeses. Breakfast was also a good spread. We are all looking forward to returning next year when we finish our bike trip to Paris!

Stunning Chateau with the Perfect Hosts!

Located just outside Alençon, the structure is immersed in a large park with a pond. Internals with antique furnishings with owner attentive in an almost manic way to furniture and objects. The room, large with fireplace, had a bathroom with sink. Too bad for the narrow accommodation of the bed that did not allow easy access and for the wardrobe wardrobe, decidedly small.

Quiet place

We stayed at the castle on a weekend to celebrate a wedding anniversary. The place is beautiful with its park and hunting relay that transports you into a charming atmosphere. The reception of the Marquis and Marquise is very warm and discreet. The meals in the dining room are delicious. The rooms are comfortable with a quality bunk and views of the park.

Castle life

The house is furnished, decorated and furnished with refinement; the five rooms overlooking the estate are comfortable, well equipped and welcoming and decorated with a certain taste; the warm and thoughtful owners offer us an appetizing dish served in a dish and the most elegant garden garden; it was a stay for our 45 years of marriage, with remarkable family and friends at one time, in this haven of peace where our hosts gave us the opportunity to enjoy a little French silverware with great pleasure.
