Driving to this location i had high hopes!..the surrounding scenery is stunning and arriving at the cottage is definitely a spectacular view. We were greeted by a young man and girl (the girl was the owners relative looking after the property) and was shown around the property and given a lovely bottle of Rosé to welcome us. Sadly it all went down hill from there. We asked the girl for a BBQ (which they advertise as having for customer use) we were given a small dirty BBQ full of rain water and wet leaves which clearly had not been cleaned in a while. We were so shocked by the state of it, but had no other option so took it and tried to clean it as best as we could, it was filthy. The cottage we were allocated was extremely dusty and cobwebs everywhere, there were spiders literally everywhere. Under the sink we had been left old dirty sponges and cloths to use which frankly i didnt even want to touch. And the whole cottage was screaming for a good spring clean and dusting. The cottage is old, and we appreciate that and the vibe it had, however there is no excuse for it to be dirty and dusty with cobwebs. We stayed for two nights (thank God only two) as i had possibly the two worst nights sleep of my entire holiday, i felt as if things were crawling on me all night. The pool area is pretty, but could have done with a good clean, fallen leaves,branches everywhere etc.. Be aware that towards late evening, the young girl must have had a get together with friends as quite a few young couples arrived at the property and headed towards the pool and the private part of the property which she lives in and were drinking/smoking, so be prepared to share the property with the girl and her friends. A few other people from somewhere turned up during the day also to use the pool and "chill" i believe they said they worked at the owners other property nearby.

All in all, we wouldn't return here again as there were no boundaries between the customer and the host , i dont think its professional when there are paying customers on the property and the cottage was not clean enough for the price paid. 

I Was left disappointed 

Perfect little houses with well kitted up kitchens. Highly recommend! Comfortable bed and great vinyards. Little villages in the sorrounding areas with restaurants and cafes. Lovely ambiance and great for families.

Wonderful!

The property is no longer owned by the founders. The new company has 2 nice people on site to handle check-ins etc, but there is no sense of ownership. The photos are clearly from several years ago, The furniture is now old, dumpy pieces that seem be from tag sales.  Maybe some call this "quaint". The fixtures are worn and bits missing; like no shower curtain, just the rings.  The silverware is sort of piled in a box. The mattress in main bedroom is just too old and saggy.  There is really no place to relax quietly in a lounge chair - the pool area furniture is worn and the area very small; there are a couple old metal chairs in front of the cottage. Wi-fi is sometimes on, sometimes not. Overall, this place would be fine for half the price, but its just not worth the prices charged at high season. The whole place needs to be refreshed and upgraded.

Over-priced and out-dated

We were in the cottage le Marronnier. The whole estate looks romantic, but I understand that with the original owners the place was maintained better. The estate was not fully booked with only one other couple during our whole stay which gave us a nearly private swimming pool.
We arrived and the owner gave us the key, opened the door and we got a bottle of wine (which was not bad at all), a warning about 'no kids alone at the swimming pool' and that's roughly it (one excuse is that the owner/reception hurt her legs after a fall so was not very mobile). 
Let's start with some positives. If we look at the cottage itself, the second floor with the bedrooms/bathrooms was nicely decorated and light, the swimming pool itself was fantastic with very clean water and great view. Location to visit places in Provence was for us perfect.
Why the place gets a 'poor' rating from us: The Kitchen is simply too dark with poor lighting. The utilities are there and those were mostly clean and new, disturbing were the empty pots of salt/pepper (simply no cooking basics available like basic spices, oil,...), several plates were broken, the small fridge was full of ice and leaked water the 3rd day, the coffee machine was simply dirty (lucky we didn't need it). In the living room the sofa was in a poor state (cushions always sliding out) and the worst was the terrace with a broken bag with charcoal for barbecue lying in a corner, old leaves everywhere, the sun-beds were very dirty, a bit further an outdoor sofa standing with one pillow instead of two. The swimming pool area with the sun-beds needed some swiping as well and it didn't help that the umbrella was half broken and one of the 3 main sun-beds as well. The lawn was cut one day, but not cleaned so it ended up in the filter of the swimming pool leading to an overflow at the side, I cleaned it myself in the end...
The central courtyard has a rustic feel, but still, why you cannot put away your tools to clean the leaves, and just leave it lying there? Why the door to your 'laundry room' is open for people to see all the time? Why every room has dust hanging from the high ceiling? It looks like a detail, but really it does take away any 'premium' feel.
When at the final day we returned the key and made a note of the dirty terrace we got a grim face. It really took away our appetite to buy some of their wine, we in fact did not get a chance after the quick bye we got (okay, you didn't like the earlier remark, we understand that). And yes we did not leave the cottage super clean as well, but with no brush or anything available we really couldn't do better (we had to buy tablets for the dishwasher, a cleaning cloth and toilet paper ourselves). And yes we did not complain during our stay because it was all manageable, just not perfect as in fact it should have been. And yes you are a working farm (so you state), but that is again no reason for the condition the place is in.
Yes we had a great holiday mainly saved by the swimming pool and the nice surroundings of the provence, but not because of Domaine Faverot itself which gave us mixed feelings. There is so much more possible with the estate if the effort would be put into it, the price tag deserves it.

Too expensive for what is offered

Our family stayed here for 3 nights and we fell deeply in love with Domaine Faverot.  From their amazing wine to the quaint accommodations we were very happy.  It's location is a great for exploring Provence and many of the sites are within 30 minutes drive.  The pool was a nice amenity. The kitchen is well equipped to cook in.  Stroll around the vineyard and do a wine tasting with the owners who live In the other half of the building.  Love this place and would book again next time we are in Provence. 

Peaceful retreat 

I don't get the negative reviews of Domaine Faverot - they're completely at odds with our own experience, which was altogether pleasant and exactly what we'd hoped for, i.e. authentic, rustique, charming, surrounded by lush vineyards, with two extremely attentive managers (June and Marie) who prepared two wonderful group meals for us during our week's stay. Our cottage was well-equipped and clean, and the pool refreshingly natural and sans chlorine. And the domaine is within an hour's drive of most of the places one wants to visit in the south - Aix en Provence, Arles, Avignon, Les Baux de Provence, Bonnieux, Gordes, Lourmarin, Roussillon etc.  So thanks to June & Marie for an excellent week!
