Loved this hotel!  We chose it to be near Corte and the Restonica and  the location was very convenient.  The building itself and the common areas look like a stately family manor.  Our large and  attractive room was on the top floor with a beautiful view of the hills below.  It was in a small alcove with its own "front" door with a second bedroom for family stays and a modern bathroom between them.  

The breakfast was fine :  a cold buffet with as much good coffee as you want, served on a gorgeous open-air porch with a wide view of the lush mountains.    Difficult leaving it to set out for the day!

The restaurant in town is only a few-minute walk away but the first stretch is on a winding main road with no sidewalk and a fair amount of traffic, which wasn't awful but also not so great, especially on the way back in the dark. The second night we took the car instead, though it did seem silly for such a short distance, and even more so after we couldn't find a place to park near the restaurant.   The discounted dinner menu (offered by the hotel when booking) was only okay.  If we ever get back (hope so!), I'll go for the full menu instead. The restaurant was full of other customers and the dishes being served around us looked tastier than what we got. 

The only wrinkle was that no one helped us get our luggage up the steep and narrow winding stairs to our room. We came with carry-ons; don't know what we'd have done if we'd had full-sized suitcases!   As we were leaving, one of the cleaning staff noticed us struggling just as we were near the bottom and ran up to help.  Wish that had happened when we first arrived!


One of our favorite stays in Corsica.  Definitely stay here!

We can't say a bad word about the hotel.  Breakfast was good. The view of the hills is superbe.  The room was comfortable.  The staff was very nice.  The hotel is a bit out of the village but you can easily walk over there.  What we didn't like is the restaurant De La Place which is from the same owner and where you end up anyway because it's the only restaurant in town. Service was really bad - we had to order several times because drinks didn't come.  They gave other drinks as we had ordered. The waiters don't care much... Food also wasn't good at all.  The first day I tried the fish that was recommended ; it had no taste.  The second day I took the stew with veal and olives.  The sauce was too watery and the meat was dry. It's a shame because the hotel was good...

Good hotel, but bad restaurant !

We had a two nights stop over at this charming hotel and we absolutely loved it! Hotel rooms are moderm, but with a lot of charm and interior is of a high quality and taste. Family that runs the place is very nice, accommodating and also charming. And let's not forget the view that is breathtaking. Breakfast is delicious with fresh bread, pastries, local jams, cheeses. eggs etc. T
 It is a gem and we will definitely try to return, as it was a highlight of our trip to Corsica.

Wonderful!

We needed a place to stay on our way from Porto Veccio to the north of Corsica and I couldn’t have had a better experience here !! It was such a lovely stylish hotel with a beautiful balcony to overlook the mountains. The staff was very lovely and the rooms were very clean. I would have loved to stay another night, and it is a great value !

Fell in Love!

This was a tremendous find: my son and I needed a place to break our journey north and this was just beyond expectations. Great room, lovely set up and fantastic value. Great breakfast on the terrace with a lovely view.

Stop over between Ajaccio and Bastia

Spacious rooms, tastefully decorated interiors throughout, breathtaking views and friendly service ~ we would return to Hotel I Frascone in a heartbeat!

We were welcomed by the friendly concierge, enjoyed an aperitif on the hotel terrace before venturing into the charming town (a 5 minute walk) for dinner on the main piazza.

Make sure to stay for breakfast in the morning ~

Charming accommodation in the heart of Corsica's mountain region

We have just returned from a 3 night stay. The hotel was lovely and charming. We had really amazing views from our room. It was perfect for a family, basically we had 2 rooms joined together, which offered lots of space. Large bathroom too. 
The bed was huge and comfy and shower great.
Breakfast on the terrace was simple but felt special with amazing views.We also enjoyed drinks on the terrace after a long day out. The staff were helpful and friendly. 
We explored the local area by train which is accessible by walking from the hotel though the trains aren’t very frequent. 
The walk up to the restaurant isn’t very pleasant but it is possible to walk down away from the busy road and back up to avoid this. We enjoyed our food at the restaurant but didn’t eat there every night.
We would defiantly stay again- opening our curtains to the view is worth it!

Lovely

Beautiful vista over the valley, charmingly decorated throughout, friendly staff and a wonderful breakfast on the terrace. We went full board, where you take dinner at the Bar de la Place, a not-so-charming 700m walk along the road up into the village but serving good, hearty Corsican food.
