Just come back from 5 night stay here.
We are a Welsh family of 4. With kids ages 5&9.
From start to finish we had an amazing holiday.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. 
We had a chalet E027 Which was ultimate 3 bedroom. Which was beautiful. 
When we arrived it was super clean and tidy everything seemed brand new in there.
It was spacious and ideal for the four of us.
The outside terrace was lovely with a cover over the eating side and a bbq area. 
The pools and slides were fantastic our both kids loved them all! Ideal for all ages from babies to teenagers.
The only down fall to this campsite is you can’t eat or drink in any area of the pool. Even if you buy an open drink from the pool bar you can’t take it in to your sunbed the life guards take them off you which in my eyes is ridiculous! The kids couldn’t even eat crisps or snacks at the sunbed which was inconvenience if they wanted anything to eat or drink! Also another negative from us, 
when entering the pool area you must leave all shoes outside (our first day in my husbands brand new croc sliders got stolen)! So he had to walk back to our chalet barefooted! So please keep your shoes on you at all times. Some very selfish inconsiderate people around stealing sandals from the pool!! 
The beach was the by far the best area for us. The most beautiful white sandy beach so clean and the waves are amazing! The shack selling drinks and nachos are fabulous. Staff also super friendly. 
The evening entertainment was great for kids with the mini disco. small shacks of takeaway foods, desserts and drinks all around the entertainment area which is great! Another bonus you can take your own food and alcohol around the area too which saves money. The supermarket has everything you need also which is helpful on site. The restaurant there gets busy and booked up quickly so recommend booking in advance. 
Overall a really clean and tidy campsite with lots of activities for the kids to do! 
My two didn’t try kids club but it looked amazing on what we could see! The team work so hard. 
We would definitely return here!

Fabulous holiday and a fantastic resort!!

Had a beautiful week at this holiday village.   So much so we’ve re-booked for next year.  Our teenagers loved the slides.  The campsite was so clean and tidy and all staff were super friendly and helpful.  I got our car stuck in the sand outside our caravan within two minutes of arriving… within five minutes a lovely maintenance man had pulled me out with his van and made me feel good by saying it’s happened lots of times (as I was embarrassed).  All the shops and eateries were nice.  The pool got a bit too full in the afternoons, but not sure if this was just because it was a baking hot week (38 degrees).  The bar at the beach was beautiful.  The market in Montalivet is lovely.  The one negative was nobody’s fault. And that was that the sea was freakishly cold.  We’re regular sea swimmers in South Wales and I swear this sea was colder.  The lifeguards record the temperature every day and it carried between 15, 16 degrees and did get up to 19 degrees on one day which was lovely.  We will have to buy wetsuits for next year.

Lovely family holiday with teenagers

We stayed here as a family of 5 in August. Our whole experience was excellent. We stayed in an Ecotent booked through Canvas Holidays which was great. We had sink, fridge and it was comfortable for us all. Really lovely woodland setting with plenty of shade. Nice table to sit outside. The shared bathroom was very clean and although busy at peak times we worked around that. Lots of great food and wine options on site and evening entertainment. Swimming pool has great slides. The only thing we could fault was not enough ping pong tables! 4 was not enough for the evening. The kids loved the trampolines and there was easy access to the beach which is fantastic for body boarding. We hired bikes but had to wait a week for availability so book as soon as you arrive. The market in Montalivet was great, lots of stalls for kids and food options. We had an excellent time and would highly recommend!

Excellent campsite and area

Great site with lots of amenities and a full on fun and friendly atmosphere. The entertainment staff were enthusiastic and the takeaway and restaurant facilities were great. The clubs seemed to be good however not for teenagers as my 16 year old and 18 year old felt they were not included as it was either younger or older children/teens.

Holiday-camping

This was our second experience of a campsite in France, with kid’s aged 7 and 5. Another excellent site with great pool facilities and direct beach access. It’s a big site and it’s a bit of a trek to the beach but you can hire bikes if you haven’t brought your own; we didn’t as they were quite expensive and the kids were old enough to walk it.
Huge clean sandy beach with life guard. We didn’t visit a lot because it was so exposed and the heatwave had begun (mid 30s). 
Pool facilities were excellent, well staffed and maintained. 2 great shallow pools for kids with slides and then 2 other separate slide sections for older kids and adults. Really cool ‘big dipper’ slide as the kids called it, that was like a high half pipe, great fun if slightly terrifying (in a good way).
Shops and snack bars etc were great. Reasonably priced on site shop that’s well kitted out but there’s an ALDI just up the road for a cheaper option. Nearest big Carrefour is about 30 mins away and an excellent L’Clerc in Lespere, same distance. Staff throughout the site are excellent. Really warm and friendly and always a Bonjour when they pass you on the paths. The entertainment team seemed to be having a great time and added great atmosphere to the pool entertainment and aerobics in the afternoons. 
The cabin was good (we were glad of the AC), pretty standard and a decent bit of covered decking. We had booked a ‘Mobile Home Cosy 4/6 persons 2 Bedrooms withA/C’ for reference.
We were happy to be located away from the evening entertainment/shops so it was quieter, about 5 mins walk. Beach was a further 10ish mins from there.
The ‘commerce’ area of shops and eateries is great as it has central seating so everyone can order something different. Two particularly good things on this site were the wine bar/shop, separate to the restaurant and the takeaway system. Excellent wines and prices with a nice meats/cheeses menu. The takeaway place gave you a pager so you didn’t have to hang around after ordering and could go to the next place or playground while waiting. Great quality food - posh chicken nuggets and pizza etc.
I’d highly recommend the site and the staff especially made it. I think the only thing that could have improved it was more sun loungers at the pool, but we did always manage to get one eventually.
The nearby town of Montalivet is great with an excellent market and lovely cafés and restaurants. It has a real beach town vibe and prices to match but the market is great value and a lovely way to taste local wines and seafood. Some other small towns worth a visit and not far from the ferry to Royan for a lot more attractions and a bigger town/city (save a fortune and just travel as pedestrians!).
And remember to go out at night and look at the stars - almost zero light pollution, amazing! You forget that when you live in the city!

Lovely site with great facilities and friendly staff

This site is fantastic with exclusive access to the perfect beach that does have life guard protection for over six hours a day.  The site is manicured and all the staff are very helpful.  The comfort plus accommodation was great especially with air conditioning.  The mattresses and bed were comfortable and the shower extremely hot.  The park is quite and afternoon and evenings on the veranda was very pleasant. 
The pool and the clubs are well organised and supervised.  Involvement in the teen depends on the group and their willingness to speak English.  The on-site shop is comprehensive and a must for the morning baguette and croissant.  The beech bar beer and smoothies at the end of the day are idyllic 
The take away pizzas were pretty good.  Sadly, the only thing that lets this place down is the onsite restaurant and I can’t review it separately - the Moules very steamed to death and the fries were disgusting; not what I expected ... and was left very very disappointed.  The on-site restaurant could and should do better and the site owners should review their contract as it lets this otherwise perfect holiday down.  Best advice is to avoid restaurant as Aldi is just down the road and you can do reasonably well if you are that way inclined.  The on-site rented BBQ’s are not bad but just glorified griddles - this is because the site is set in a beautiful pine forest that is at risk of naked flames.  Well done Tohapi - please look at the restaurant issue as they let you down 

Perfect .... but... 

We recently spent a week here (through Canvas Holidays). The site is lovely, lots of pine trees, mobile homes are well spaced apart. The mobile homes are quite basic and not as nice/well equipped as other campsites we have visited, but comfortable enough. Large fridge/freezer, which was very handy.

The pool area was excellent, we had so much fun on the waterslides. Lifeguards were all very friendly.

 We made good use of the communal BBQ area - as our mobile home wasn't equipped with one. We wanted to hire a BBQ but were told there was only 5 to hire out and they were all taken. I was surprised that more weren't available? We have been to many European campsites (in mobile homes) and this was the first time we didn't have our own free BBQ!!

The shop was well stocked and the bread was very tasty. We did our main shopping at nearby supermarkets. 

All in all, a great holiday, many lovely family memories made. ☺️ 

The beach was beautiful, but beware of the Weever Fish! My 15 year old daughter was stung on her foot and despite receiving excellent treatment from the lifeguard station, she is still feeling a little unwell.

The surrounding areas are beautiful - we spent a day in Bordeaux, and had a day exploring some chateaus, with wine tasting. 

Lovely holiday.

Recently stayed here for 11 nights with the family, the campsite is superb with amazing facilities. There are numerous activities for people of all ages, i have two boys aged 13 and 16 and they were kept busy with the tennis courts, table tennis, petanque, swimming pools and slides and local beach which is a short 5 minute walk from the site. We stayed in the premier caravan which is still basic in comparison to caravans in the UK in my opinion but everything is geared towards being outside due to the great weather. I spent most of the time sat outside on the covered decking area when we were at the caravan making good use of the bbq. The staff were really helpful and couldn't do enough even quickly changing the gas bottle on the bbq when it ran out halfway through cooking. The local town of Montalivet is a short drive away and full of great places to eat and drink and the daily market is well worth a visit. I'd definitely recommend the site and would consider a similar holiday in France in the future. I can't really fault the place other than the fact you have to pay for Wifi but it didn't bother me personally as it was nice to be offline for the time i was there (more of an issue for my boys but they survived!!). I'd also recommend a visit to the dune de pilat which is just under a 2 hour drive away. This is a giant sand dune that's over a 100 metres high, amazing views.

Great campsite

lovely mobiles  with comfy beds and help very well placed under the pine trees.  Only  downside no TVs in premium homes.  Wonderful pool and beach for kids.  Perfect for a quite relaxing holiday. ......................

Very relaxing

I'll give an honest a review as possible.  This wont be a holiday destination suitable for all people, there is good and bad, but bear with me!

Staff / check in
When we arrived, we went to the reception desk to join a queue of people, and waited a few minutes to be told that we were at the wrong place for check in, and needed to go to the desk outside of the reception building - which was unattended, this wasn't clear but once someone turned up at the desk, check in was smooth and we were given some free snacks. 
In general, we found the staff were good, friendly and responsive. 

Accommodation 
We stayed in a nature lodge plus tent.  It was a decent size, with comfortable beds,  kitchen is basic but fine.  One negative point was that our tent was at the very outside perimeter of the park and looked out onto a large fence, so we had no nice view, and no community aspect with out fellow campers. Ours also had significantly less outside space than many of the other tents.  Avoid perimeter lodges if possible because they are not all equal.  We were also next door to a toilet block,  this has the advantage that its close - but the toilet doors are not damped in any way so there was almost constant banging from the doors at all hours as people went in and out.

Sanitary facilities
This was a bit of a let down.  There are far too few toilets / showers for the number of guests.  at times there were large queues of people waiting to use the showers, and there aren't many available. Its a shame because the shower blocks look great!  Particularly bad times are during the early evening when people are returning from the beach and getting showered to go for dinner. Late evening much better.  Do take your own toilet paper as the small toilet block near us ran out and wasn't replenished for over a full day.

Pools / recreation
The pool facilities are pretty good, one large-ish outdoor pool and an indoor pool too. The slides are good for kids, if a little basic compared to other sites we have visited.  We were there during a hot spell (30 degrees +) and the pools were rammed with kids, not possible to do any actual swimming, just possible to cool off and splash around a little.  During this busy time the water quality wasn't great, it was so cloudy that we couldn't see our feet on the floor.

There was an early morning dash for loungers, with lots of reserving going on.  This wasn't challenged at all by staff who just allow it to happen.  On the positive side, there is a large sundeck without loungers, which always had space to place a towel directly on the deck, which is what we chose to do (as opposed to getting into lounger wars)

Restaurants
The central square has a few eating options, - a sit down restaurant which served really quite excellent food (which we found surprising!) at a reasonable price.  A takeway pizza restaurant, which was also good, and a little wine bar that serves tapas style platters. Also a crepe stand, and a sweetie shop.  All of these were great. no issues at all.

The real gem (for us) was the beach bar which is just at the top of the beach. this was never rammed (apart from a beach party night) and really chilled - selling beer / wine / cocktails & smoothies.

Entertainment
The animation team seem to have limitless energy.  Every evening had some kind of entertainment, lots of high energy dancing and they were good at it! Exclusive english speakers will struggle to get into some of the entertainment as its all in French (but you are in France and the vast majority of gusts are french  - so get used to it!)

note the entertainment is VERY loud, and most evenings went on until midnight.  We could hear it loud and clear from our tent despite being one of the furthest units from the central village. If you go to bed early - then this would be a nightmare!  

This is a party resort, so expect lots of noise all the time. There were several nights where we could hear music/ shouting / taking loudly at 3 or 4 AM. these people weren't challenged by staff at any point, and on one occasion I heard a fellow guest having to shut down a party themselves. - I don't think this is good enough from park staff.

Beach 
the beach is a short 5 minute walk down a track from the main site.  There is a surfshop / school for renting boards and lessons.  The swimming area is supervised, and the lifeguards were on the ball and we felt safe.

Note that the sea off the Atlantic coast of France can be rough! expect big waves - great if you like to surf / bodyboard etc... but not a relaxing swimming experience!

Local area
The nearby town of Montalivet can be cycled to in 20 mins or so (at a guess) and was lovely, a small pedestrianized shopping street with the usual holiday tat, and a range of restaurants.  Didn't feel like a touristy rip off.

For food shopping, there is a local Aldi which is fine.  We ventured to an e-Leclerc some distance away - because we really like the massive french hypermarche type supermarkets

Also worth a trip is Soulac sur mer, which is a beautiful seaside town.

All in all, we would come again, but will insist on a non-perimeter unit. We would look at booking a safari tent next time as they all seemed to be better located and had better facilities.
