Charming hotel, lovely room and good breakfast. Thank you so much for giving us instructions for entry to our room which we arrived at very late due to problems at the channel tunnel. We were very grateful.

This is our second visit and we stayed in the Lorraine apartment. The facilities are great and of course the location is amazing. It is a wonderful place to explore Veules les Roses and the staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really good. We can't wait to visit again! 

A wonderful stay!

Relais Hotelier Douce is a older character building thoughtfully and carefully adapted for hotel use. It is in a very central location in this superb little seaside village. We had the Gascogne room which comprised
a tastefully appointed bedroom and bathroom plus a separate small living area with kitchenette, once again all carefully laid out and well appointed. We also had outside balcony seating  overlooking the River Veule - a lovely feature. The service was exellent and the staff were very helpful. All in all a very enjoyable weekend stay. The only possible drawback is that there is no on-site parking, but as far as I could see that pretty much applies to everywhere in the centre of Veules les Roses. We parked our motorcycle on the street opposite the hotel and it was fine. As to food, the breakfast was not cheap but plentiful and varied. The hotel does not have a restaurant as such ( there are plenty nearby) but does supply nicely cooked light meals in the early evening if requested beforehand which we found to be a useful facility.  In summary, we have no hesitation in recommending the hotel and should be happy to return..

A commendably exellent hotel.

Town well worth a visit and a walk around, about 45 minutes. Hotel a great base to stay and we were very pleased with the accommodation. Clean, spacious in an historic building. Pleasant, helpful staff, good breakfast. Could have done with tea/coffee making facilities in the room

Lovely, clean, characterful, historic hotel in the centre of town, but quiet.

Beautiful charming inn in the heart of Veule-Les-Roses!  Bright and updated bathroom & shower facilities wiith kitchen area.  Enjoyed morning coffee sitting on the veranda.  Parking is a bit of an issue in Veules everywhere but that was only issue.  Travelled with group of friends and we enjoyed the lovely interiour courtyard.  Breakfast was wonderful every morning.  Hoping to return!

Charming Perfection

We spent two nights in this lovely inn located in a very quaint seaside town.  The room was nothing fancy, but comfortable and had everything we needed, and also a nice view of the beautiful courtyard.  Breakfast each morning was very good.

A lovely stay

The location of this hotel is quite unique...it was an adventure in itself to finally arrive within the limits of the beautiful seaside village and if we hadn't had Google Maps I'm not sure we would have found it... The hotel is beautifully set right on the main street of Veules and has been masterfully restored. The outside grounds have an impressive array of gardens, terraces, and verandahs. I booked the duplex room and in retrospect I should've booked a larger room as I found the main living area to be small. There are steep steps which lead up to the attic where the bed is. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful.

Great location for a quick overnight stay

We stayed in the Jean Cocteau "Suite d'Exception" for two nights in February 2022. We did not take breakfast or eat in the restaurant so cannot comment on the food. The Jean Cocteau suite was comfortable, quiet and roomy, and we enjoyed our stay. On the other hand, there were a few things that the hotelier could have done differently that would have turned a 4-star review to a 5-star review. Most importantly, there is no table (other than a coffee table) at which to eat or work. The second level, which has some visually interesting but useless furniture, would be ideal for a simple table and chairs. The suite includes a kitchenette -- one of the main reasons we chose to stay here -- but it is missing some basics (no lids for the pots and pans, no proper kitchen knives for cutting bread or vegetables, no salt or oil). There is no place to hang up coats. On a positive note, the village of Veules-les-Roses is absolutely charming and the walks in the countryside are wonderful, and this hotel is probably the best place to stay in Veules-les-Roses.

Good place to stay but missing a few things

A great hotel in a beautiful french village. Stairs in our room were steep and narrow. The bed in Champagne room was very comfortable. The tea garden is beautiful. The appearance and setting of the hotel is really stunning and the location in the main street of Veules is excellent.

Lovely hotel

This is a good hotel to stay. it locates in a beautiful town which deserves one day to walk around for in-town view. Also, it's so close to the cost. 
The yard of hotel is also attractive, you can have a cosy breakfast at there surrounded by greeneries.
