We are just back from a stay at Le Clos du Lac and I have to say it was absolutely wonderful.

The room we stayed in (Pop Art) was clean on arrival and it offered fantastic views over a large expanse of the lac and came with a large terrace.

Based a few miles south of Annecy, it was peaceful and quiet so if that's not for you, you may want to look elsewhere. However, I spent most of the evenings, just watching what was happening on the Lac as the sun sank over Annecy. And in the fading gloom, the bats would come out!

You would need a car as it's about a 1km walk into Veyrier up and down some rather steep paths so I would recommend a car but then again, you would probably have a car anyway to get there

I would thoroughly recommend Le Clos du Lac, somewhere to re-charge the batteries

Superb!

We booked in here to be relatively close to Geneva airport. The accommodation was perfectly satisfactory. The view over the lake was beautiful. However we were well out of the town. The road to reach the house was had a series of speed bumps on it. My husband was not prepared to drive up and down it to get into the town. As a result we walked but in order to do this you have to be reasonably fit as the path from the lake side is long and steep. 
We asked the owner for a recommendation for dinner but when we got there found out the restaurant was closed on Tuesdays. Breakfast was good but we felt the accommodation was overpriced. 

Last night

Even better than expected. All bedrooms face the lake. Amazing design inside the room (we had the vintage room).
What else to say? Huge surprise for this guesthouse.
Our discreet host (Isabelle) cooks amazing breakfast with homemade yoghourt, local cheeses and local pastries.
Recommend!!!

Beautiful location and great guest house, would recommend it, we throughly enjoyed our stay. Isabelle is very friendly and helpful too. The view from our terrace was amazing, you can see half of the lake, it's a lovely spot to totally relax and unwind

Lovely place 

This B&B was recommended to us by friends and we were most impressed. The room was beautifully fitted out in a unique and modern style and had all the amenities you want. Everything was extremely clean and new and very pleasing to the eye. The Wifi reception was good and breakfast was delicious [still dream about  Isabelle's home-made yogurt] We had our car with us and the short drive to various shops and restaurants was convenient. The view from our large balcony was breathtaking, overlooking mountains, lake and town. I can thoroughly recommend it for a peaceful, picturesque  break.

Breathtaking Views

We knew it was going to be a nice place to stay, and upon checking it, we realized what a find this was.  Isabelle was very friendly.  Each room in the hotel (there are only 4), have a theme. We stayed in Vintage and I LOVED the decoration. It was so colorful and cheery.  Isabelle has extremely good taste and you can tell from the way she manages the hotel. Each room also has a balcony with lake views.  It was nice to be close, but not inside the actual town of Annecy, which was cute, but very touristy. At Le Clos, we felt like we were in "real" France. We want to come back to lake Annecy and stay here again!
