We stayed at Le Terrondeau during our family vacation and had a wonderfull time.

Not only is the house itself something special but also our hosts were wonderful and made us feel instantly welcome.

We had a two bedroom suite, which suited our family of 4 well, and found that both the breakfast as well as the optional dinner were excellent and added to our experience. 

The nice terrace with large swimming pool enxed up being a relaxing place dyring the warm late afternoons.

Le Terrondou is located in the beautiful Cantal region of the Auvergne and gave us ample opportunites for sightseeing, walking and shopping. Everything within very reasonable driving distance.

All togetger we highly recommend a visit to Le Terrondou to experience the house, the area and the hospitality of te Rosset family

A wonderfull location and warm welcome

Beautifully restored family home with rooms. Valerie and Bruno have done a fantastic job in creating a welcoming residence with tons of character and great value. The short stroll into the village to eat was no problem and although local restaurants are limited there is enough choice for most tastes. We will return.  

Fabulous gem in the town 

I saw the picture in a magazine and called since I had a few days off. I had no idea where the place was so the trip served many purposes. 1) a couple of days off from my work without going to far from Toulouse 2) plenty of fresh air and exercise 3) a nice room and a "living room"wher I could spend a quiet afternoon with a book 4) good food 5) plenty of sleep.
Bruno and Valerie (plus the rest of the famliy) did a magnificent job of making me feel welcome and gave me excellent service.

It is a perfect place if you want to park you car and then spend a few days hiking. You can put on your boots, walk out the front door and then select between several walks which takes you up into the hills, giving a fabulous view of the country side. My walks generally lasted 3-4 hours. I advise to pass by the bakery and the butcher (closed on Mondays) and pack a picnic lunch because I did not find any suitable restaurant for lunch (March is off-season).

Wonderfully relaxing stay in Vic sur Cere

- Highlights:
The place itself is a gem. You can stay there and enjoy all the amenities of a real French countryside castle/manor. The breakfast is from a local bakery, the dinner is cooked by the Chatelaine and she prepares delicious and copious local specialties. The bedrooms are spacious and well furnished and have comfortable beds. If you go in the summer, do bring your umbrella and clod weather clothes. They have a pool where you can swim and enjoy a relaxing cocktail (pre dinner must) in the garden. They also plan activities for you to go and enjoy. Make sure that you look at maps and driving times to make sure that you have enough to get back for dinner on time. 

- Lowlights:
You have to make sure that you take your French cash (Euro) or a money order since they absolutely do not accept credit cards. What shame and what a surprise when you go to check out! They take French bank checks too.
For dinner, you'd better be on time or you'll miss it. It is a bit discouraging when you are enjoying the beauties of the countryside to have to come back just for dinner. I'd skip it once in a while to stay and explore. The wi-fi connection can be spotty at times and you have a choice of 2 routers, so ask the owners to get you the code to the strongest one.
