We had a delightful stay at this manoir and Laurence could not have been more welcoming. She is a truly lovely and kind person, who by the way speaks French, English and Italian. The room was spacious and attractive and very clean and tidy (we had the Marcel Proust one!). The house is located in a very quiet and peaceful location, plenty of off-road parking to the front of the house. Laurence's breakfast was superb, exquisitely prepared and laid out, with homemade treats aplenty! Her freshly made Madeleines in particular, were divine! We would be very happy to stay here again, it was real pleasure to meet Laurence and share her warm hospitality.

Beautiful place, lovely host

Laurens is lovely: kind, helpful and a great hostess. The rooms are quirky, clean and beautifully appointed and breakfast is superb. She sorted out a restaurant for us and that was great, too. If I’m anywhere near again, I will definitely, definitely stay with her.

Lovely place

Wonderful weeks stay, the location is rural, quiet and very restful.  We based ourselves here to sight-see near and far, and it was an absolute delight to come back after a days visiting to the peaceful and calming surroundings.  The Double rooms are each themed, and why shouldn't the adults have fun when on holiday too, we had the Marcel Proust one on the ground floor and our friends had the French Revolution room on the upper floor.  The king sized beds where exceptionally comfortable and we had a good nights sleep every night, there was always plenty of hot water and a kettle in the room for hot drinks. The kitchen where breakfast is served is a large, airy friendly place, the large tables are shared by the guests which gives everyone a chance to relax and chat over breakfast and to meet others staying.  The plentiful food is either baked or made by Laurence or locally sourced and is delicious,  there is outside seating and tables so in an evening there was nothing better than to sit with our friends with a glass and relax on the warm summer evenings, with the chickens clucking and the birds singing,  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are planning on visiting the area again and will definitely look to book with Laurence and Christophe again. There are Restaurants nearby, but not in walking distance, and a very pretty village with shops, gallery, pottery, restaurants and a café/bar close by.

Manoir from Heaven

We booked two nights here at the start of our France holiday and it was absolutely lovely. The guy who runs the place is extremely friendly and welcoming and it's clear that the place is a real labour of love for him. 

The room we were in was just lovely. Decorated in a Viking style!! Comfortable bed, great shower, all perfect. The breakfast was also great as were the surroundings and amenities. The owner is also happy to talk you through attractions in the local area. All highly recommended.

A fantastic place, run by lovely people.

We were  greeted warmly by Laurents who showed us around their proud work of ancient farm building restoration which now comprises 5 fabulous individually themed rooms....not what was expected. So these large rooms were called William the Conqueror, Viking, and Pirate plus 2 other French characters. All were cleverly and wittily furnished and well equipped with tea/coffee making facilities too. 
We were made to feel at home in and to help ourselves to anything left in the kitchen/dining room. And boy what a lot there was to choose from! Much of it home made by Laurents or  locally sourced.....Farm cider and apple juices were good.
 
The dinner we had was expertly cooked in front of us by Christophe. He made us savoury galettes with copious fillings to suit tastes and followed by  silky smooth crepes and sugar and jams.Accompanied by lovely wines and calvados too.
The breakfast table heaved under the mass of fresh produce of all kinds.....as joy to the eye and stomach! Given Laurents & Christophe have 5 children to look after too they work so hard to offer unique friendly hospitality. 
A pleasure to meet them both and to stay at this gorgeous chambre.

Stunning experience for  9 trail weary cyclists

What a great find! Le Manoir was a perfect Autumn getaway in Normandy, close to lovely wee towns and great restaurants.  

Our room had separate entry - as they all have, we were free to come and go as we pleased.  Breakfast was big, and all gloriously home made.

The rooms are all very individual - it seems all the furniture is made by hand, hewn from beautiful wood.

I cant recommend this place enough - we will be back
