Viella is a small village in Jersey where you can find everything you need there's a grocery store, a tobacco press post office, a cafe restaurant, a doctor, a pharmacy, two hairdressers, a taxi, a municipal swimming pool in the summer

A vibrant village

We spent a night in a viella holiday. Very nice welcome from our host with his charming English accent. A cozy lunch. Clean but small room inconvenient for my husband who is big... room under the fillings with pan cut and hairy so a little dark. Besides, you have to love the animals which is my case because the little black pig the chickens and dogs walk on the lawn. Little bemool the unburied pool is small and not easy to access. To sum up the price and the welcome were worth a few small bemools.

Guest room in viella holiday

We spent two nights at Brigitte and Jean-Pierre's house, where we shared their sweetness and art of living. The animals, all free, enjoy this port of kindness. Moreover, the latter are present without weight, on the contrary. Barbecue at our disposal, as well as fresh drinks.

We have just spent the night of St. Sylvestre in this charming villa. What positive reviews to express, both in terms of hospitality, availability and the services and recommendations offered by the owners, and the charm of the very friendly place, where nothing is lacking.

HOTEL ROOM to be maintained

One step to your holiday in the GERS: the rooms are very pleasant, the bed is comfortable, the breakfast is good and cozy and above all the kindness of the owners who welcome you as a family. You can have a very pleasant time in a large garden with all their pets and indoors, reading space, pool table, TV space (in French and English) but also a kitchen for several days. reasonable price.

It's like home, just wanting to go back.

Your hosts Caroline (English native-speaker) and Jean-Pierre are very welcoming and easygoing, better informed about the area than most tourist offices! The room was very pleasant, comfortable and well-equipped, with excellent bathroom attached. Guests also share a kitchen/dining-room, as well as a comfortable lounge area with TV, books (especially about the region) and pool table! Fine king-post-type roof beams, a pretty renovation. There are some very good, detailed IGN maps there too, that you can borrow while circulating in the area. Copious French breakfast, where Caroline, may take coffee with you and fill you in on what's going on in the Madiran area. The three friendly dogs and even Clara, the timid black sow, enjoy a stroke and there are also carp in the pool and hens under the trees but it's a quiet menagerie - the doves call the most! An address to share with your very best friends, particularly if they enjoy Madiran's wine from local producers, or jazz, the famous Marciac festival being held close by. Or both, why not?!

Friendly hosts, excellent accomodation, tranquil and charming surroundings, very good value indeed

Since I happened upon Viella Vacances in 2009, I've made it a priority to stay there every time I am in France.  Caroline is the perfect host, and her property is beautiful.  Each bed is cozy, and the rooms are some of the cleanest I've seen.  She's located right by the vines and local chateau, as well as a little wood, all which lend themselves nicely to serene afternoon strolls. Her pups are adorable and friendly, and her garden is pristine and gorgeous.  Caroline is an expert in the region and sent me on many an adventure! Some of the highlights have been: wine tastings at the regional vineyards, an afternoon at the Maison des Chameaux (a zoological park), pizza and billiards with the locals, chestnut picking, and many a hike.

I've never felt more at home at a chambre d'hôtes, and there's no doubt in my mind that I'll return as soon as I make it back to France.  I highly recommend spending some time here - you will not regret it!!
