So conveniently close to the A26 but situated really nicely in a lovely French countryside village with great inclusions of locally produced food and wines and of course the local champagnes.
Anne-Lise & Philippe were the perfect hosts and made us feel so welcome in their beautifully appointed guest house. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 course dinner in the evening. Everything was cooked to perfection and my mouth is watering at the thought of it all over again. We chose a delicious red wine from a local vineyard which went perfectly with dinner.
Breakfast was served with homemade jams, pastries & bread, scrambled eggs and bacon, locally produced yoghurt and homemade granola, and we could have also had crepes and cheese if we wanted.
Anne-Lise also prepared us a picnic for our journey back to England. Can’t wait to tuck into her wonderful delights.
We can’t thank them enough for a wonderful end to our little 3 week holiday in France.

Idyllic location, Food Heaven, Warmest of welcomes.

Superb family house with a few rooms and a “ cottage “ which is dog friendly. The hosts Philippe & Ann-Lise are very welcoming, a 3 course dinner is available with fine wines from the local area and breakfast is well, just everything you could want from bacon and eggs to crepes etc. On site parking, swimming pool in the summer, near the autoroute.

Perfect for family & pets

What a lovely place to stay - thank you Anne-Lise and Philippe!  

We stayed here on our way back to the UK from the south of France, and after a very long day in the car this was the perfect tonic.

After parking up in the secure parking Anne-Lise showed us around the hotel which is beautifully decorated and immaculately clean.  There is a lovely pool area, communal lounge area where breakfast is also served, and billiard table upstairs.

Our room was spacious and had an extremely comfortable bed (the best night’s sleep of our trip).  There were also lovely touches such as aromatherapy pods  for the shower.

The evening we stayed (a Wednesday) is one of the nights the Table d’hote isn’t available but Anne-Lise made a meat and cheese plate for us which was delicious!  

Breakfast was great!  Fruit, homemade granola, croissant, bread, and eggs made to order.  

We really enjoyed our stay and will be back I’m sure.  Thank you!


Lovely hotel, great location near Troyes

This guest house is a real gem.  Tastefully decorated, beautifully maintained. very comfortable and expertly managed by Anne-Lise and Philippe who are welcoming beyond words. They clearly take great care and pride in making their guests feel at home.  The breakfast and table d'hote meals were first class.  Although this is a perfectly  placed stopover if heading for the Riviera or the Alps, it is far more than that and our only regret is that we were not staying for longer than one night and we would have loved to stayed for longer.  Next time we will.

A real gem

What a great place to stop over or stay for a few days. Philippe and Anne-Lise are the most charming and attentive hosts without being in any way intrusive - a great act. The Villa and rooms are spotless and well equipped. We enjoyed the most amazing dinner cooked by our hosts and served on tables around the swimming pool. Very good local champagne and wines available and then, to top it all, after a really good night’s sleep on a very comfortable bed with lovely linen and pillows, a fantastic breakfast. Delighted we stayed there on our way back from Cap Ferrat. We will definitely be back.

A delight just outside Troyes

We look for small dog friendly properties with private parking on our frequent trips from Eurotunnel on to Ancona for the ferry to Greece.  Gourmet food too, ideally.

This was a real find; easy to find and moments from the main drag towards Mt Blanc tunnel.  Delightful, professional hosting in an immaculate property.  

Both the evening meal with superb wines and the breakfast with home made preserves were exceptional.  The champagne from a small local house was exquisite to the extent that we bought bottles as gifts for wine lover friends.

We stayed here for 1 night on our way to Spain. It was a spare  of the moment decision, as we wanted somewhere to stop that wasn’t too far off the motorway. What a pleasant surprise.  The place was lovely, our room was decorated beautifully and was very spacious. There was everything in the room that we needed even hair straighteners which came in very handy. The breakfast was amazing and the couple that own it were very friendly. We will definitely be stopping here on our way back to the uk … an excellent stopover .

This is one of the best chambres d’hotes that we have stayed in.  The owners are charming , welcoming and attentive. The decor is delightful with a relaxed ambience. We had a lovely supper cooked fresh by our hosts. This was accompanied by a local champagne and a fabulous Chablis. Breakfast was freshly prepared and also delicious with a focus on local produce. We will try to come again and will also recommend you to friends . Thank you.

Everything is delightful .

The hosts were charming and helpful, we had an excellent dinner and breakfast.On a longer stay there is plenty to do in the area. Each room is nicely decorated and the main areas modern and spotlessly clean. There is a facility for games and beverages on the first floor.

Ideal stopover when driving through France

Superb place in perfect location a few km from the autoroute and Troyes midway between Calais and the Alps. Welcoming hosts.  Comfortable clean modern room with quiet air con.  Warm pool and pleasant garden.  Secure parking. Home cooked 4 course dinner and good breakfast.  Definitely visit again.
