Our room was spacious, immaculately clean, and quiet. The secure parking was very convenient, the host Jean-Pierre very thoughtful and helpful, and the secret garden full of roses and irises a delight. A few steps away from the Metro station, this was a perfect location for getting into the centre of Lyon.Breakfast eaten in a garden room was very good.

Lovely house, excellent location

I knew I had booked a room, I didn't realise I had actually booked a flat which was a pleasant surprise, the price is very good.  Jean-Pierre has some rooms and flats in the building and he lives there himself as well.  The building and room exude charm. (Just a note that if you rent the room called La Terasse, it is a loft flat so you need to be extra careful about hitting your head in certain places if you are more that 5 1/2 feet tall) and there is a lovely garden out back.  Everything is clean and well organised and there is a washer and dryer that you can use for laundry if need be. Jean-Pierre is very welcoming and happy to assist you in getting oriented to being able to get around Lyon easily and the guest house is an easy walk to the transit system.  I had a very pleasant stay and would happily stay there again if in Lyon.

A charming place in a great location

This place was great.
On arrival Jean Pierre helped get our luggage in then came with me to the secure parking, then spent about an hour over a beer advising us on where to go in Lyon and how best to get there.
The room was big and very comfortable, the breakfast was big and very nice sitting in the garden.
The only negative that some people may have is that it is a 15 minute walk to some nice restaurants, however there is always the option of the metro, which is just up the road, to get there or stay late in the city.
I would recommend this B&B to anyone as would stay there again when we next visit Lyon

The Nicest B & B we stayed in France!

Very rarely do you find a guest house where the pictures do not do it justice. The house was far better than we imagined, especially when first viewed from the outside, and the room was one of the best we have ever stayed in. Jean Pierre was a very friendly host, despite the fact that I think we upset him a little by arriving much later than anticipated. Lovely breakfast too!

What a pleasant surprise!

The hotel is easy to find and close to the subway connecting to Lyon city centre; and  also close to the airport shuttle.  The owner is very helpful if you need any help.        The rooms are clean and good.  A place to come back.

Nice place, friendly staff

We had a lovely visit at Des Toits en Ville on our way to the Alps. Jean-Pierre is a welcoming host who keeps one of the cleanest places we've ever seen. The room was lovely. Breakfast was excellent, with fresh pastries and fruit and great coffee and tea. The only drawback was difficulty with parking, which is on the street, due to construction in the road. We were glad we were getting up fairly early, since very loud construction noises began at eight! Hopefully, this won't be a problem for long. We would visit again.
