We returned to this very special Hotel on the banks of L'Yonne.  Rooms are comfortable ,and include Chef Alain's "special breakfast" which includes a huge variety of special local products , and is a feast in itself! 
Alain's Table is crammed with gourmet treats, the result of decades of experience,  and the service is attentive, but not overwhelming . We had a  thoroughly wonderful time . The wine list features a cornucopia of local burgundies , suitable for the palates  of the most discerning clints! In fine weather , dining en plein air on the banks of the waterway, is and added bonus ! Comfortable  Hotel , Great Food, wines, and superb , First Class service . Can't wait to return!

Great , unique Hotel ,with magnificent food, special local wines , and attentive staff

Exorbitant prices (menu from €39.50, a dozen oysters at €50, salt at €58, a bottle of mineral water at €8.50) for a disappointing gastronomic quality (sauce plates, the chocolate farm chicken floated with a cream of raisins is severely lacking in tasty finesse). Not to mention the chef's propensity to salt, not the dishes, but the addition by pushing the loyal customer to consume (a plate of raisins was offered as an option for €22 to please my main dish).

The kitchen is always as excellent with a delicious pastilla and very good desserts and wines and a warm and friendly reception.

A very nice Sunday meal at the Tilleuls hostel. Very nice setting on the banks of the Yonne with a beautiful terrace in season. Chef Alain and his whole team welcomed us very well. The menu at 39.50€ is very copious and of very good quality. Very good fresh and local products in season. We recommend!

That's a great address.

Chef Alain was front of house and suggested our meal and also the accompanying wines after some discussion. Our meals duly arrived and were of lovely flavour and quality but I thought a little overpriced . The wait staff were very good and the outdoor setting was lovely. I guess part of the cost was for this setting.

A real dining experience in a lovely setting

Very, very expensive and poor. Everything is overplayed as if it were exceptional dishes which is far from the case. The chef pushes for consumption and spends much of his time taking orders talking very loudly and telling anything for example that the 48€ beef is due to the almost extinction of the species in France due to drought????? The very old and expensive hotel. The website with its attractive photos is very successful unfortunately the reality has nothing to do with it.

Nothing to avoid, go your way

The hotel has come of age, the rooms are clean and original, simple and colourful. It's like another time. The host is a perfect host with passion, very friendly and helpful.

Quiet Accommodation - Nice Away from the Hectic

We had come to the beautiful season, at the edge of the Yonne, a good meal and happy moment. Desiring to test the autumn map (champagne and game) we returned. Very disappointed with our choice... perhaps a confinement effect and close to winter closure? Trout gravlax (certainly local) but uncharacteristic for six to eight small cubes, fortunately accompanied by three delicious pure artichokes. Lucullus entering, a slice not provided with fatty liver. For the cellar, recommended for wine, but what about the first price (which we had not been announced!)? 45 € for 35 cl from Auxey Dures 2009 and 1... we were told that this was not a good idea, but we were told that it was not a good idea.

Disappointments and High Prices

Invited by a friend (without knowing it at the time of ordering), we enjoyed the hare at the Royal. I knew only that of my grandmother, who of course was the best in the world...until today! A frandole of cheeses like this is becoming rare to find, a perfectly dosed rum with a baba, a warm and cosi atmosphere, what life! The wine list is simply magical and the chief of good advice. The ratio quality/price? a notion too subjective to the quality of the plate and the show.

A sweet moment

Sadly unforgettable The only restaurant that opened this Monday was that of a certain Alain Renaudin with a few favorable reviews. The owner of the place pleased us: a nice terrace by the watercourse but the uncertain weather invites us to take a seat inside. At first, we are greeted by two young professional women in the art of making ourselves comfortable and settling down. But there stops the happiness and the hope of a disturbing dinner in a couple. The owner of the pleasant place offers us an appetizer of his crude sense of having made us forget that the classics are not in Burgundy.
