Very dusty and feel suffocated inside. Also not ideal for tall people. The first floor was like a scary museum. Would never go again! Could not enjoy the garden  once it gets dark. The walking path around the pond was full of dog poops. The house needs more lights, cleaned and decluttered. Get rid of those scary dolls on the first floor 

Don't stay on the first floor

Very nice garden and kind lady. Gave us a nice tour and some folders to visit Bourges and a castle.

We stayed at the top floor (family room). It’s like a museum you walk into which is very special and amazing. But one thing ruined everything: unclean, bad hygiene.
And I’m not exetirating. See photos.
Dust under all the beds, under the closet, under the tables and on the head of the bed. A stain on the bed sheet and just dust, dust, dust everywhere. 
Told her at the checkout that it was really dusty and she said it was because of the bees and leaving the window open… I’m sorry, but it’s only because of one thing: not vacuuming. 
It’s really too bad, because she wanted to be nice but the lack of hygiene is unacceptable. 
If you go here, make sure you take one of the rooms on the ground floor.


Dust, poussière, stof 

This charming B and B is in a beautiful setting with a wonderful garden hosting all sorts of delights. Lots of antiques inside and comfortable bedrooms. My daughter and husband and two little girls (aged 2 and 8months) were also with us.

There was a misunderstanding between us and the hostess about what time we were to have breakfast. We had understood that when asked by her, we had said between 8-8.30am.  A few minutes after 8 we all sat down at the largest table that was laid for breakfast (the babies were hungry). (there were only 2 other tables set for 2people each). We began helping ourselves to what was already laid out, fruit, yogurt, cereal etc and had no idea that Madame would be so upset. She was extremely rude to us after we explained that there had been a misunderstanding about time (she was insistent that she'd said 8.30am) and puffed away, complaining to the other guests about us!  Also I had mistakenly used a teapot next to the kettle that was for decoration purposes only. Furthermore her puffing and complaining continued during the entire breakfast and when we left the table, she carried on gossiping with the other guests about us. Perhaps it didn't occur to her that I was right next door in the bedroom and could understand!!  Anyone would think we had committed the crime of the century. If you decide to stay here remember to obey ALL the rules, speak good French and be very wary about upsetting Madame. I would give this place a wide berth!

Very rude hostess

I stayed at le Petite Ferme one wet and blustery night at the beginning of November. I should of checked in at 6pm but driving by myself I got myself lost. The lady was brilliant and eventually came to rescue me at 11pm.  She offered me something to eat and made me a drink. The room I was in was beautifully done in French shabby chic in blue and white and the shower was fantastic.

After a good night's sleep breakfast was a great and I was really made to feel special.

Taking my bags out to my car I looked around and the gardens were stunning absolutely beautiful.

Driving away through the Forrest I found myself wishing I was staying a few days longer.

Such A Beautiful Setting

A really beautifully decorated and arranged accommodation.  Our room was decorated in blue and white french toile with lovely bedding.  Catherine has thought of everything and our dog Sidney had a great time playing with their Griffon Pointer, Hermione. The grounds are delightful with a lake and a wood for walking the dog and it is a lovely quiet retreat. The garden is so pretty too with a pond and statues.  The Auberge just a short walk down the road was very good and allowed us to bring the dog.  The breakfast in the morning was very good with lots of coffee, hot bread and croissants, cold meats and cheese, fruits and cereals all  served in the lovely little dining area next to the rooms.  Very reasonably priced and we will definitely stay again if in the area.
