I was staying in Svan House with my whole family for a few days in January and we enjoyed every minute of it! This family owned and operated guest house is a perfect place to stay. It's built on the remains of the old svan tower(and you can see it in the dining room) and has breathtaking views from the balcony - worth a million likes!
Breakfast was very delicious, full of choices and had plenty of food. 
Owners are very sweet family, very nice to talk to (kids are fluent in English) and more than ready to help with anything you want and even give you extra.
I'm already planning my next trip and know for sure where I'm going to stay!

Great place to stay

The hotel is a small family run hotel. Owner is very helpful and friendly.
Rooms are nice though walls between the rooms are not thin and we could hear the adjacent room pretty clear.
The view is nice mountain view with those old famous towers.
Breakfast was nice.

A good choice at Mestia

Stayed here for 3 nights. Booked with so dinner and breakfast. Our rooms were exceptionally clean and the food was delicious.
Home style local dishes made our meals very entertaining.
Personal was very friendly and  helpful
Would use it again.

Im so glad I stayed here. The breakfast was really some! after eating we were full until late afternoon. Everything was close to little centre but yet very calm. We had room on the last floor which had biiiig window and overlook to the mountain. Definitely the most beautiful awakenings ever. Owner very kind and normal.
Rooms had heating which we were able to turn off.
Room clean.
I definitely recommend it!

Great

I went there with my wife and our 2 years old son.
It is a Great place thanks to modern furnitures.
There are Great facilities with good Wi-Fi.
They provide Great services, we enjoyed a lot their breakfast.
We have met Great people, generating a warm atmosphere.
We Loved it!
Their Hospitality is highly recommanded.

Amazing place, Amazing host

All nice and clean, friendly hosts (good english), nice breakfast, great location and view, own shower, warm room. Sound isolation could be better. Not so easy to find. Wanted to extend my stay but was none available... which is a good sign. :)

Very well located small hotel. New, modern and clean. Small and minimalist room but good ambiance. The balcony offers a very nice view on typical architecture of svaneti.
The staff is very nice.
They do not serve dinner but the breakfast is delicious

Excellent

We booked into Svan House of Mestia through Booking.com, for our trekking in Mestia. The taxi didn't find the hostel, since it is located uphills off the main road. So you have to drag your bag and walked through the village for some distance. Not the easiest to find. 

Once into the hostel, we found it to be quite relaxing. It has a nice garden where you can sit there and play chess. The house is typical Svan style, rooms are basic, very small room. Limited capacity for water heater, The toilet was very small. But in Mestia, one is not here for luxury, but for its beautiful wildness. So I am perfectly happy to be here.

The breakfast was basic, but bear in mind, this is probably the only meal you can eat during a busy day, since there are not so many places selling food, even less restaurant. So one has to eat as much as possible in the morning to endure the day to dinner.

The hostel offers laundry, which was very neat. The lady does not speak much English, but her children, younger than 10 years old, speak amazingly good English, and they both are very lovely!! People here are friendly and helpful, so I find staying in the hostel relaxing, especially when it's sunny sitting in those comfy armchairs in the garden.
