We stayed for five nights and it was great! The family was so friendly and welcoming, we felt like at home. The food was excellent and they helped us with tours around and basically everything we needed. The place is clean with AC in every room and kids friendly. 

Highly recommended 

The family is very friendly and although only the daughter speaks well enough English to ask questions, they do a lot to make you feel at home. The family can also arrange tours (they will call a friend driver and he comes to talk with you about what you want). In the evenings we got offered some home-made wine which was quite nice! The breakfast is good, and plenty. From bread, marmelade, Georgian cheese, eggs/sausage if preferred, cake, salad, you basically get more then you would ever eat for 10 gel. The room was nice, with our own bathroom. The washing machine was also in there, so there were quite some knocks on the door if we could open it for them. The closets are all full with stuff, so the floor is the place to put yours. The view has a beautiful view over the mountain, but since it is next to the livingroom/kitchen it is also quite loud with the day-to-day noises (and it seems that Georgians talk quite loud haha). We wanted to stay 2 nights, but in the end we extended to 3. So over all, definitely worth staying! It is a good price for all the hospitality you get!

Cosy family guesthouse

villi and his wife are a really nice couple. it took 15 minutes from the time we put our bags down to the time villi was pouring us home made wine. although they have limited english they put a lot of effort into their hospitality, ofering wine and rides to the city center (its 200 meters and hardly nessesry). the guesthouse itself is charming, warm and clean, with private showers, a livingroom for the guests and a porch. 
and of course they wouldnt let us leave without 2 bottles of home made wine!!

recommanded ( especially for wine lovers)

About 4-5 min walking distance from the main streets, this guest house is a building with four rooms,two of which (the gray-double and the cream-twin) have direct access to a common room. We booked both these rooms and practically had that common room to ourselves. The owner also told us that we could add beds there if there were more of us with 20GEL per person. There is also a common veranda which is very cosy and has a lovely view to the mountains. (Due to the fact that the owners reside in the same building, they had their laundry hanged to dry there. )The rooms overlook the road which is not as pleasant but we didn't mind. 
The rooms and wc have recently been renovated and have a nice fresh feel. Although one who is as strict with cleanliness as we are, might find something to complain about. 
There was a wardrobe and a drawer in our room but both were full with linen and towels, perhaps one could ask the owner to empty them if needed. 
Speaking of cleanliness, the only serious complaint is that the glassware was extremely dirty. We could not find even a cleanISH cup or a glass to drink out of at breakfast. The breakfast itself though was very decent and quite worth the 7 lari. Freshly baked khachapuri, Georgian cheese (sadly, I found a string of hair on one slice), eggs to preference, honey, butter, salad, a traditional aubergine and walnut dish, tea, coffee, milk, and Georgian bread. One can ask the owner to prepare breakfast at a desirable time, so no need to wake up very early which is a very big + when one is on vacation and likes to sleep late. 
The owner is very kind and discreet, greets you every time and is always ready to attend to you. 
Wifi available and connection was good enough to skype. We weren't assigned a parking place,just parked on the street. 

All and all we were pleased with our one night stay, I do believe that other guest houses in the area that cost about the same might have been worse (old,dirty) so I could recommend this one. 
One thing that got me a little worried was that we didn't get a receipt when we payed but we didn't actually ask for one as we were in a hurry.
