I have spent only one night at Hostel Riga and had a very early checkout to catch a flight. The location is great, really hard to beat and the staff ( the owners husband and wife) are friendly, their English can be limited but we understood each other easily. I give them 4/5 because it was clear that it is a basic accommodation for backpackers on a budget and for these travellers it is a solid option. Not many guests were there so sharing facilities was not an issue (there is only one bathroom). Point of improvement: it is not easy to find the hostel, I had to ask one of the shops nearby, some basic signboard would help not getting lost.
