Mercure Tbilisi Old Town

Wow, I can't say it was perfect, but it was really good. The reality exceeded expectations. Modern room decorated with classic style, modern facilities, the TV set with the option to connect to your YouTube account. Minibar with free beverages refilled every day. You have a sauna and gym at the base floor. But the top of the top is the wonderful breakfast with a lot of kinds of food and beverages - cherry and orange juices, sparkling mineral water, coffee machine, etc. You can ask for custom made eggs like omelette with various toppings or coffee with soy milk (the coffee machine contains only usual milk). The wine is not offered free - the bottles you see on the pictures are for decoration or for purchasing. The hotel itself is located just near the old city center and just one minute walking from it there are bus stops in both directions, from which you can arrive nearly to every place in Tbilisi. And I have to mention the helpful and friendly staff. One day I had an early tour and was kindly allowed to enter the dining room before its opening and put in the box whatever I wanted to take the breakfast with me. On my last day I was expected to fly at midnight, and the receptionist Karina suggested that I use the hotel's facility even after check out - as a favour of the situation with late flights. And when my flight was delayed for more than three hours Karin's colleague treated me with a coffee. I have no words to express my thanks for their compassion. In summary - the highly advised hotel, just come and enjoy it.
