Very pleasant hotel with friendly staff, the food was very good we had dinner in the restaurant and breakfast this morning was excellent. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean, tidy and compact.  Good value for money. We will definitely stay again. 

Overnight stay and dinner

This is a good hotel. The rooms are on the smallish side but very comfortable and clean. The street outside is a little busy and when we stayed there, there was work going on in the street and they worked very late so it was exceptional. It probably is a lot quieter normally. The next day they switched rooms for us with no problem. The food here is very good. To be frank we weren't very impressed with the German food we had experienced previously. The Brunnenhof is of a high standard but the food is quite expensive compared to good local restaurants in the UK although the rooms are quite reasonably priced,

Great food and friendly staff

I wasn't quite sure what to expect - we needed a convenient stop in the Aachen area for the last night of our holiday , somewhere near to the motorway for LIege and Calais for the following morning. In that respect this small hotel was perfectly located.   For the price, the room was quite basic but had a large bathroom and was fine for one night.  Despite the fact that the hotel is on a main road, the room was double glazed well so there was no noise.  Unfortunately there is a large tree in front of the hotel and this made the room rather dark - it also slightly obscured the hotel itself which is a shame as it is in rather an attractive building.

I also chose the hotel because it had its own restaurant - like a previous reviewer we thought the food was fantastic, it was some of the best food we had tasted on our whole trip through Italy, Germany and Austria.  However, there could be a problem for some travellers because the food was quite expensive, it was a 'proper' restaurant.   As it was the last night of our holiday we had decided to have a nice meal but if you didn't want to splash the cash then it might not be suitable for you.    Walheim is a bustling village on the outskirts of Aachen, so there might well have been other cheaper dining options, but we didn't leave the hotel.

That said, the owners could not do enough for us and the service was extremely good, as was breakfast the next morning..    A nice finish to our European holiday.

Convenient stopover -very good food

Stayed here overnight on route to another location. It was a complete shot in the dark but was more than happy with experience. Managed to haggle 15 euros off the o/night charge. The room was comfortable, very clean and all I needed for the night. I ate in the restaurant and the food was fantastic, breakfast was typical continental and more than adequate.

Although on the main road there was no road noise. The owner spoke reasonable English and made me feel most welcome

Fantastic food

We did an overnight stop here and for that purpose the hotel was fine.  We booked the small double room with the french bed, the description was accurate, the room was small but adequate.  The bathroom could have been better.  It was lit only by the shaver light and the shower holder was broken so you had to hold it over your head.  The breakfast was absolutely fine and although we did not eat dinner at the hotel the food looked very good.  We paid about 72 euro and for that reason we were satisfied but because of the bathroom would not stay there again
