I can't comment on the hotel itself, though it looks upscale and the location on the lake with it's surrounding walking trail is lovely, as is the terrace overlooking it all. Moreover, the dining area is quite chic, but our meals couldn't compare. The first time, it was simply ok, and the second time, our meal was truly sad. We were a group, so got to sample a cross-section of the menu. Presentation was nice, but came with a total lack of flavor and consistency, and portion size for some dishes was ridiculous. The best bet seemed to be the kids' hamburgers.

Looks good, but disappointing dining

Good evening we were eating with friends today it was scary tables were dirty food was cold no taste service had dirty hands food was made warm again our friends had the food on then finally came the warm cooked food again the soup was cold a really bad evening

Unfortunately, I was not satisfied because I had booked a table for 12 people. After the long pandemic, we all wanted to meet again, eat together and exchange. The table was booked by phone - in good weather outside - in bad weather inside. When the weather was going to be very bad, I called again and prayed around the table in the restaurant. Unfortunately, the restaurant was overbooked and we only got two separate tables. The food was rather mediocre. Because of the many guests, only the small card was checked , according to the service statement. However, the service then proved to be very friendly and competent. I wouldn't say that from the restaurant itself. Despite my complaint, they didn't look like me.

Poor organization and moderate food

That you can eat well in the Lake Hotel Michaela and enjoy a great view of the Antrift Lake in the beer garden on the large hotel terrace is well known in the Vogelsberg Circle. Accordingly, the restaurant spaces were well occupied and you should schedule accordingly. The flame-lax offered every Friday by the firewall compensates for the waiting. Very tasty and recommended. We are happy to come back, although the service ladies were always very friendly.

At first you were very surprised. A 4-star hotel. Very nice. Then the food came: a rum steak with potatoes was ordered. Then came the plate. Here was a piece of meat on the plate and a couple of potatoes, put together very unpleasantly and without deco on the plate. Then at the first bite. The food was cold. On my complaint, my plate was very unfriendly moved into the kitchen and came back after 3 minutes. The same piece of meat was probably briefly heated in the microwave, which obviously didn't make the rum steak any better. Potatoes and meat remained cold. Never again!!!!!!!!

Stayed on 5.9.2020 as a wedding guest.

We rented the room for a family party with accommodation, buffet and decoration. Everything is working great, the voting, the buffet, the friendly staff, the lake location, the accommodation, the appropriate size of the premises. We also got a lot of positive feedback from our guests.

A great hotel with a familiar atmosphere

We're in the area several times a year for a few days for work, and we always book here. Nice little hotel, clean rooms, beautiful lake views. You can sit on the terrace in the sun and have a nice lunch and coffee in the afternoon. We tried several other hotels in the area and found that there's hardly anything better than this. So definitely a recommendation for this area.

Nice family-run hotel by the lake

What was great: view, nature, lake, weather, hotel terrace, dog possible. What was ok: breakfast buffet, free wlan, hotel parking, clean (but not under the bed, said the dackel who saw it) What was bad: loud, loud until 11:30 p.m., beds, rooms directly above the kitchen, eternal waiting for service in the restaurant, from the meal the homemade salmon and the cummel well was tasteless, like the spit, but always trying friendly staff.

In the Vogelsberg

Three servers walked past us five times without eye contact. Just on their order or Abraeum tablet fixed! After 10 minutes a very nice, friendly older slender colleague came and picked up our dough. Instead of apple juice I got water, he apologized, he hated groping. Now the right drink was there. We enjoyed the atmosphere, the quiet breeze, the setting sun and the view of the lake!!

Visiting the out-of-state sea hotel Michaela

The hotel's location is perfect. Our room was overlooking the lake, which was just charming. The shower was recently renovated and the bed was comfy.

The only thing is the breakfast. We came down at 9.30, while breakfast is until 10.00. There was no waiter or anyone to help us. We had to go to reception twice, once to ask for coffee and once to ask for plates. Half of the food trays were empty and no one offered us eggs, although there was a sign that says they make them on the spot. This was disappointing and very bad service. We paid 9.50 eur for breakfast. It wasn't worth it.
