First of all, let me say that the owner of this hotel does not speak any English! She is very, very friendly and will do her best to communicate with you by speaking German slowly, but she cannot (or will not) speak a word of English. 

That aside, the room was very nice and clean. The bed was comfortable, the water in the shower was hot, and the TV and everything worked perfectly. We did have to ask for some soap, but it was provided immediately and we were offered two different kinds, even.

Breakfast was fine - we were offered tea or coffee, and we each got a freshly boiled egg (served fresh from the sieve, even!) and there were also bread rolls, yoghurt, and a variety of deli meats and cheeses, plus cereal. I thought it was very reasonable and tasty.

Location is good, easily walkable to the castle and anything else you want to see in Augustburg.

Nice hotel with very friendly owner

For an event visit at the end of July in Augsburg, we visited the Hotel Morgensonne once, the last time we were quite disappointed by the chef and your hotel which almost resembles a pension, we booked a hotel room again, according to the motto everyone deserves a second chance. The booking went as always absolutely smoothly and very kindly after phone confirmation, arriving at the hotel we were welcomed this time in the hotel by the chef in the house, who is still all alone in the hotel.

Repeated attempt at an event visit

I was with friends at a local event on a weekend, so we booked the rooms early at the hotel. A day before we arrived, a known illness opened the door, and two more were prevented by a motorway on the day of departure. Then I called and tried to cancel, which I did with 2 people on the 3rd. No. Arriving at the hotel in the afternoon, we were still in the car and discussing the next trip to the event on the premises. Shortly after that, the hotel opened the door and asked us to unload the paperwork, as they would have done other things very well. Then I called the staff at the entrance of the hotel and asked them if they would have been very pleased to do so.

It's expensive, nothing more than a pension, a pretentious, crafty, confused boss.

First of all, we have to say that the rooms are spacious and clean. There are free parking spaces and it's quiet. But this is where the positive part ends. We couldn't discover the supposed panoramic view or the promised French double bed. The water must run for a while until it gets warm. The rooms are spartan and not very lovingly decorated, despite the fact that in the 80s you started to adapt to modern times. The carrier, a well-dressed lady, leads a regiment here and watches over the compliance with the agreed early appointments and once you forget to press the button for new coffee, then you can share the available drops with the phone.

Hard to grow

5 days / 5 nights Disadvantages: rooms: beds have never been made! Pension is only occupied from 3:30 p.m. If you arrive early, you can't drop off your luggage because the house is locked. No card payment is possible. Rooms are too cold on the first day. There is no shower or washcloth in the bathroom. Breakfast: Bread counted and only one variety. At the break every day almost the same. Camenbert, for example, you don't seem to know at all. A glass of orange juice only on the first morning. No milk for cereal. No natural yogurt for cereal. Fruit yogurt on groceries. Advantages: spacious room and bathroom. Smells. Bread and coffee have tasty location.

More than a pension is not

We also came to this hotel for a wedding. hotel you can't call that. A bad pension. The older woman hasn't changed for 4 years (see comments from 2010-2011). Scornful, unfriendly and pretentious. We had a misunderstanding about the price. Instead of kindly clarifying the situation, we were asked to cancel immediately and pay 80% cash. The rooms look 80 years old and were also checked in our absence.
