Very nice small family driven hotel located in the genuine center of Bad Berneck, only 5 km away from A9.
Very friendly and service minded owners and a breakfast that more than justify the additional 8€ per person. Definitively one of the most enjoyable breakfasts we have had, actually much better than many of the business hotel breakfasts.
Quietly located with a creek floating by outside the hotel, a nice park 200 meters away, being the starting point for many forrest hiking tracks, which makes it worth to stay an extra day.

Nice hotel with a breakfast to dream of

First time here as a stop-over to Italy. Only 5km from the A9 and easy to find. Super friendly service. 

The village of Bad Berneck is very nice with several options for dining out. Rooms are large and nicely equipped compared to the pricing. Hence my 5star rating (but don't expect luxury).

I recommend stopping by here. I would imagine you could easily spend a couple of days here if you like bavarian scenery and walking in the hills.

Super friendly and nice little village

This is one of the cleanest, brightest hotels I have ever stayed in.  Having a balcony over a small river does not distract either. If you want a place to sit back and relax on your trip this place will fill the bill.  Three years since my first visit to this town, to long between visits I think.  The hotel has great wifi and is very nicely furnished.  They have maintained the building and furnishings  to as new condition.  The breakfast room is elegant and the food offered is a couple notches over the normal fare for German hotel breakfasts.  All of this at a very reasonable price.

Its been three years and nothing has changed

I stayed there recently because I was invited to a wedding nearby. Late checkout was offered without further costs until 1 PM which was very pleasant. Unfortunately I can't tell anything about the breakfast or how the hotel feels when staying more than one night, but the hotel owner did her best to make my stay as good as it could be. It's definitely an option for everybody who is looking for a hotel in the area around Bad Berneck.

Pleasant stay. Warm welcoming. Clean and comfortable.

We stayed a couple of nights at the Hotel Heissinger whilst attending the Bayreuth Festival and had a very pleasant stay. Staff were friendly, room was comfortable and the buffet breakfast was very good. We had a nice view of the river and the pretty town buildings from our room and would certainly stay again if we can obtain Bayreuth tickets for next year.
