The house is on a slope, on my question before booking, they hadn't told me that there were only a few steps to the house. My mother is 85, they would have honestly answered me I wouldn't have to paddle. Handicapped people could have trouble, about fifteen steps to the front door, some without a handshake. Hardly available service, breakfast was very disappointing. Upback bread, a lot of bread for two people we had to share, a hard-boiled marmalade and honey packed bags, four mini-butters for two people, cheese and a free orange discount, there was no need to go there for a little bit of milking, no need to pay for anything, because I felt no need to pay for it, no need to pay for it, no need to pay for it, no need to pay for it, no need to pay for it, no need to pay for it, no need to pay for it.

Quiet boarding house with beautiful garden, no service available

An old bedroom with a dwarf bath and an inexpensive breakfast are a waste, and the kindness of the landlords is no longer helpful! Baked bread, sausage and cheese from a supermarket chain of the inexpensive variety seemingly never again!

It's too expensive!

Good room, a bit dated style nothing fancy but clean and well upkept.  Parking spot.  Friendly staff.  Breakfast specialties are especially nice - sets this hotel apart from the same old thing at every other hotel.  WIFI is ok.  TV is not good, way too small to watch with buzzy satellite box - TVs are very cheap now, so there is no reason for this.  Overall, nice quiet hotel with good location (right next to a forested hill), price is relatively good.

Decent hotel at a good price

We stayed in a spacious two-room room. It was clean and cozy, a large bathroom. Very responsive Russian-speaking hosts will respond to all your requests and give you all the necessary tips and advice about vacation or treatment at Bad Ems. You are given the key to the door of the villa and you are free to come whenever you want. Nice and tasty breakfast. Free parking for the car. Good Wi-Fi.

It's a quiet, quiet hotel!

The villa and its guest rooms hold what the stylish exterior promises, plus a good, rich and varied breakfast, and the friendly treatment of the rental couple, all at a price that is affordable for a short-lived town!

Pricey accommodation in a stylish setting

The breakfast was very unusual. The breakfast room was very small and you had to have breakfast according to the owner's schedule. It was unpleasant, baked buns, sausage and cheese not fresh but from packaging, nothing against Aldi & Co., but then I can also have breakfast at home and don't need breakfast in a hotel. To the question of stir-fry or mirror bed, we were told: no, we've already cooked the eggs. So according to the motto: you eat what comes on the table. The bathroom was very small, the towels were worn off, the air was too loud. The double bed was two individual beds put together, in the middle there was a stand.

Sleep and breakfast

Wonderful place to stay in Bad Ems for a very affordable price.  Breakfast each morning was included with our stay and featured a typical German spread with meats, cheese, salad, yogurt, breads, juice and coffee.  They also made these amazing warm pancake like pastries with fruit and raisins in it.  I don't know what they were called but they were fantastic!  We had a double bed which was literally two beds next to each other.  We found this to be pretty typical at hotels in Germany, but I thought it worth noting for people who may be curious.  Our room was spacious and we had a private bathroom.  There are quite a bit of stairs up to the house and inside the house so be aware of you have lots of luggage.  We had free parking, although spots are very limited.  There is a train station nearby that is easily walkable.  You can also walk over or under the tracks (depending on which direction you go) to get to the Main Street of the town along the river.  There is a footbridge close by where you can cross the river as well.  During our stay it was rainy so we didn't take advantage of the terrace at the Villa, but it looked like a very nice spot to have some wine.  Note that this location is cash only...I recommend having your cash before coming into town, I did not see many ATM machines.  Overall it was a wonderful stay...the couple who owns the house was incredibly sweet and were gracious enough to communicate with us in English.  The room was great and breakfast was one of the best I had on my trip. Definitely recommend!

Pleasant Stay in Bad Ems

Very cozy and small villa, light and clean, everything works, everyone is nearby, very welcoming host, and the hostess, a great breakfast, and a great coffee is all you need!

We're going to come back again.

The hotel is located in a quiet, furnished and tastefully decorated building, with the charm of the old one, where you don't see time passing. Parking and Wi-Fi, both free, the second very operational. The room is spacious, the bed is of quality, and the breakfasts are a corner of plenty and a fairy tale.

A villa that's had its glory days and still has its merits...

Villa Alexander immediately attracted my attention with its beautiful architecture and location in a quiet, green area. We stayed there with our wife from 14 to 22 August 2014. When we arrived we were greeted by friendly hosts - Michael and Irina and settled in a beautiful, cozy 2 et. room with a balcony and a side view of the Lan River. The villa is located very well, 5 - 7 minutes walk to the railway station, it is convenient when entering - going out, trips on excursions to Koblenz and neighboring cities, as well as for shopping.
