This is one of the best hotels we have ever been.
The owners are very friendly and try to grant you every wish.
The hotel is renovated and everything feels like new.
Bathroom is also new and well maintained.

Breakfast is a buffet with many choices what to eat.
The bed are also as you wish, although the pillows are a bit soft.

When you like walking in the nearby nature it is a perfect place to start.
In Bad Hambug is many choice to go for diner.

Very good hotel, had a very nice stay

The owners came outside to greet us when we arrived, and allowed us to check in early, which helped with our hiking plans.
We were shown to a large room, about 5m x 6m, with it's own balcony, and a bathroom of around 2mx2m (shower, no bath).
We were right next to the breakfast room on the ground floor, which concerned us, but we heard very little noise in the morning to disturb us.
The double bed was formed of two separate parts with separate duvets (common in German hotels) and the pillows were ample for a change!
The whole room was very clean and functional, although in a slightly dated style.
Breakfast was typically german, with bread, cheese, ham, as well as cereals fruit, etc. On Easter Sunday there were painted hard boiled eggs, as well as scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausage.  The quality of the breakfast was above par, with a little more interest than usual, and attention to detail - candles on the tables, smoked salmon and more varied cheese selection etc. in the pleasant and airy breakfast room.
This part of Bad Harzburg had a number of one way streets, so be sure to bring your tomtom or a good map if you're driving!  Once you finally get to the hotel (after what seems like a tour of many other hotels), you will find that you are actually very close to the pedestrianised centre, which has a number of bars and restaurants (even open on Easter Sunday).
The outside of the hotel looks like it could do with a clean, and maybe repainting.  We were initially greeted by an old TV (waiting for the recycling truck?) at the entrance, and some effort to improve this porch area would make the hotel look more representative of it's warm welcome, and clean interior.
