The accommodation exceeded our expectations! The hosts were great and very happy to share lots of tips for local activities and general info. Our room was very spacious, squeaky clean and super quiet - no traffic, just nature sounds. Very well kitted out shared kitchen worked perfectly. Access to the Black Forest hiking path network is just a few steps away. We had a great time here!

Fabulous base for active nature lovers

This place does not pretend to be great.It just is, in everything you see you notice a caring personal touch. Second time we have stayed here for 7days and we enjoyed as much as the first. Also our 4year old daughter had so much fun in this marvelous place since there's a children's playground nearby. And for anyone who wanted to immerse themselves to nature it is absolutely perfect in all senses,we booked an apartment room in which every little detail had been carefully thought out and designed as had all area's of the guesthouse,spacious and exceptionally clean.The same could be' said about breakfast, here too, it was available for several hours in the morning and provided plenty of options from variety of cheeses, biological honey, fresh homemade bread, teas, and juices. But what really stood out where this hotel is concerned is the warm hospitality offered by the wonderful couple Milka and Holger, they would have done anything to make us or anyone else more comfortable that let you makes feel like home.Overall,I would highly recommend this hotel and we would coming back here again and again.

Absolutely Magnificent 

Hosted by a couple who really care everything is order up to the last detail it is a great place to stay. Allthough all the attention may make you feel a bit awkward at times (I did). Breakfast is very extensive and great. Very quiet, great beds. Guest kitchen and living room comfortable and right outside the garden the walking paths start. There are two restaurants nearby, of which one was nice and the other not open during our stay (looked a bit run down though). Visiting the village Bad Wildbad by foot is either walking past a road with quite some traffic or quite a steep walk of a little over an hour (go) and more return. Much more easy is the funcolare.

Milka and Holger not only run a superb Haus, they are the friendly heartbeat behind it. Milka was so friendly, cheerful and friendly that at first we thought it an act, but as we got to know her we realised that was exactly hiw she was in real life. 

If you want a stay in the Bad Wildbad area then you would be mad not to make Landhaus Gruden your 1st choice. 

Nothing is too much trouble, eating alfresco, dietry requirements, heebal remedies etc etc. Thank you so much for making our 7 nights so special. 


Black Forest Heaven 

Perfect location, perfect hosts and the best breakfast we have ever experienced. Milka and Holga welcome you to their home and treat you as friends. We stayed for a week whilst mountain biking - the gate at the bottom of the garden took you straight into the Black Forest. The accommodation included a communal kitchen where you could prepare your own meals.  The only sound each morning was bird song.  Just delightful.

Exceptional in every way

Milka and his husband are the most accommodating owner,we enjoyed our stay in their wonderful ,peaceful and comfortable place. This place is highly recommended..close to nature, accessible to the nearest tourist spot

What can we say ? We have been travelling around Europe for 4 months and this guest house tops anything we have had ever !

Olga and Milka the hosts are the most friendly and wonderful people :)they greeted us upon our arrival and showed us around the lovely house on top of the hill. The rooms are spacious and the newly renovated bathrooms are gorgeous. It is relaxing and quiet up there and a short walk to the funicular and the tree top walk so getting to the baths is easy to do. 

Every morning a luscious breakfast is served up containing a lot of homemade breads and rolls all organic jams and honeys and you can have eggs anyway you like ! Fresh coffee and a lovely morning greeting from the hosts 

We wish we could live here forever so thank you again to olga and Milka ( I hope that is how you spell your names)
