We were very satisfied with the hotel and restaurant, the central location, the friendly staff, and the food was great. We will try to come back next year.

Very nice hotel, very good restaurant.

We stayed at this hotel for one night while travelling through Germany on our motorbike.  We had booked into another hotel but this was double booked and the hotelier had very kindly arranged for us to stay here.  We were not disappointed.  The rooms are large, comfortable and clean.  We were in a double room at the front of the hotel and had out own balcony which overlooked the main street.  The beds were comfortable.  There was also garage parking for the bike.  The breakfast was continental and had plenty of selection.  Would definitely recommend.

Over-night stay

This is our second July at the little Rossini festival in Bad Wildbad.  And for the second time, we dined one evening at Alte Linde.  The owners are charming people, particularly proud of their English menu.  The appetizer takes the form of a generous buffet of everything pickled!  The main course, with generous portions to say the least, is, to my taste, heavy.  I had the platter of three pork fillets with spaetzle and veg.  My dinner companions had a whole baked trout and a huge T-bone steak, which was ordered rare but which arrived wayyyyyy overdone.  The owner confessed that he had neglected to tell his cook about our request, and the thing was taken away and re-prepared as it should have been, and it was quite good.  But the whole thing feels tired and outdated.  We'd go back, and maybe we'd try other dishes just to give them another chance.  Tables are very well spaced and generously sized, and this aspect of the dining room is truly welcome in these days of overcrowded and noisy everything.

Nice house, central location, friendly staff

A wide variety of dishes with a buffet for out-of-work. Typically German decor. The portions are in German so huge but there is a way to order small portions at a small price drop. Very friendly and very understanding staff with those who do not speak German. If we return to Bad Wildbad, we will undoubtedly return to this restaurant.

It's a nice place.

Clean and spacious room at a reasonable price. Good cuisine. Nice quiet hotel close to the spas and the city centre. Friendly home. Family hotel to recommend. We spent a Christmas Eve party led by an orchestral man with the typical music of the black forest, in a retirement atmosphere...

The hotel Alte Linde is recommended for the following reasons: 1) a quiet location between the town centre of Bad Wildbad and the S-Bahn station (which is actually a tram), a short walk from both places; 2) cleanliness of the premises; 3) friendly and customer-oriented service. As for the restaurant, I could have been just as flattered if the food had been less greasy and the potatoes less spongy, the two aspects of German cuisine that I like the least.

At dinner with the family on 11 July (two children). Price/performance ok(59€ - 4 food & drinks). Service friendly, even the typical 'nerves' (fanta flipped, please clean, another napkin, more ketchup, another snack, etc.) were served with a smile.

Good food & friendly service

We haven't stayed in the hotel but have eaten in the resteraunt several times.  The food is great, particularly the Rostbraten which is fantastic.

The only downfall is that it can be difficult to find somewhere to park.

Good food

This is a relatively cheap, well-attended hotel. We had breakfast and dinner, and both were very good. Especially my husband's steak was very good. Our waiter was very nice and friendly. The only hair in the soup is that the hotel advertises free parking, but he asked for three euros.
