Great quality/price ratio. Ideal for two or three nights if you want to visit the area. Simple but complete breakfast. Good wifi, friendly staff. Clean bathrooms and spacious, fresh showers. Comfortable mattress.

Ideal for a few nights to visit the area.

The rooms are simple and clean. Our room had a balcony to the backyard and was very quiet. The rooms have a TV and Wi-Fi and a private bathroom with shower. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast was ok, but nothing special. All in all, the hotel is ok for 1-2 days. The price of the night is 85 euros. Breakfast for the double room seems to me to be slightly overrated.

Simple, clean guest rooms

The room was absolutely sufficient for one night. The hotel is quiet and clean. There is nothing missing. The associated restaurant is highly recommended. Great, very tasty dish and super nice service. The breakfast was also very tasty and sufficient. Thumbs up, here we are happy to come back.

Nice hotel with good cuisine

Contacted the hotel with a relatively short notice to reserve a family room (2 adults & 2 children). The room was already booked, but they kindly proposed to squeeze an extra bed in a 3 person room which turned out ok since it was only a one night stay. Room was clean and bathroom (actually shower room only) was big. If possible ask to get a room which does not have the street side windows for a more quiet stay. Restaurant is nice and the schnitzels were some of the best I ever ate. All in all good value for your money with friendly service (120 € for the room and breakfast for 4).

Good hotel and good restaurant

Located about 50 km from the border with Switzerland (45 km from Europa Parh park, 80 km from Triberga and 50 km from Titisee) is a dated hotel, with large and clean rooms (a custom for German structures, at least the ones we visited). The family who run the hotel is courteous and educated, the food is excellent and the prices are very good; the only problem was the great heat that hit the south of Germany in the first week of July. Our room was covered by a basement, where, with well-furnished properties, they actually built a very nice accommodation; we were all day around the hotel, and we were supposed to stay in the basement, but when we had a nice warm refreshment (not even the hot one before 19.00) the room was still very hot.

The Black Forest Cap

We were with the whole family at this Gasthof which I immediately described as familiar, welcoming and strategically positioned to visit several centres, from Fribourg in Brisgovia to Colmar and Strasbourg in France to Basel in Switzerland. Very close to the thermal centres of Badenweiler, Bad Bollingen and Bad Krozingen and Dulcis in the background two steps from Europa Park, so you can't really get bored just by programming and everything is achieved without problems and especially without much traffic. The streets are pleasant and all the centres are easily accessible. The family room was large and allowed us to spend 3 nights in comfortable spaces that didn't create any problems. The Gasthof family is very friendly and always available at any time. It has satisfied our guests and has really helped us to have a very pleasant and harmonious living space.

A Rewarding Stay

We chose this Gasthof as the basis for our visit to the Black Forest. It is located in a central area of Dottingen, about 30 km from Freiburg and other small tourist centers that we have visited. Our room was large, furnished essentially, the small bathroom, offers only a small soap, so be sure to bring what you need. The first night the mattress was broken but was repaired promptly, the next day, after reporting.

A Visit to the Black Forest

We have been guests of the Reiner in the Angel family for three years now: very friendly from the first time, very clean and simply relaxing! It is also great to get one of the two four-bed rooms with children, which consists of at least two bedrooms. Very comfortable!

Cozy atmosphere - and beautiful rooms in an inn with heart

We stayed in this wonderful Gasthof in the summer of 2010.  We had a double room and a single room and we found the rooms extremely clean and comfortable. A lovely little balcony overlooked the back yard.  The breakfast was substantial and my German and the owner's English got progressively better over the three days that we were there.  We had a lovely meal in the dining room, complimented with generous portions of wine.   The green ceramic stove is lovely as well.  This little gem is within striking district of the southern Black Forest, Switzerland, and the southern Alsasc region and we had lovely day trips. It was quite hot (30+ degrees) so sleep was a bit interupted even with our fans.  The last day as we got in the car, a cuckoo bird was calling from a tree nearby...a perfect end to a perfect stay.

We were staying in this beautiful inn in the summer of 2010. We had a double and a single room and found the rooms extremely clean and comfortable. There is a cute little balcony overlooking the backyard. Breakfast was plentiful, and my German as well as the English of the owner got better and better during the three days we spent here. We had a wonderful dinner in the dining room, where there were generously filled wine glasses. The green tile oven was also great. This gem is located in an impressive small area that includes the southern Black Forest, Switzerland and the southern Elsace area. We stayed in a very nice environment. It was a perfect place to sleep, and so it was a perfect stop for a little bit under our roof.
