From the warm welcome we received on arrival to our reluctant departure,our stay at Hotel Elisabeth was most enjoyable.

Excellent accommodation and hearty meals (although slightly heavy handed with the salt).

Best Aperol Spritz in Germany, and small but excellent local wines at fair prices.

Genuine hospitality

I recently spent 3 nights in this hotel with my two large dogs . I was there for a walking holiday

The hotel is family owned and managed ; nothing is too much trouble for the family and all requests are met with a friendly face and excellent co operation

Dogs are more than welcome and there is instant walking from the hotel ; I did not use my car for three days 

The breakfast and evening meals were superb ; no choice in the evening but everything was freshly prepared and beautifully presented

The hot tub and indoor pool were just what was needed after a long days walking

Fantastic family owned hotel in the Black Forest

A very nice place to spend a weekend. Friendly personnel, a big and quiet room, rather good meals. The choice of wine was small, but the wine was local and tasted great.
The weather was very changeable so we spent time both outside and indoors and we enjoyed it.

Easter Holiday

Family hotel very friendly and charming.
The suite was over looking the river. Very spacious and comfortable.
Nice swimming pool and the wellness is very nice.
Internet access and relaxing area in the sauna. Well equiped.

Wellness weekend

Pluses: impeccably clean, run by a family who are remarkably friendly and charming, Our room in the eaves was spacious and comfy.Pool is on the ground floor and well equipped sauna area on the first floor without direct access between them, could do with more relaxation space in the sauna area.
Minuses: the cafe/bar is regarded as a designated smoking room by the proprietor. I suspect this is at least bending the current German rules, not my problem except one might have been able to use that area. However, and without wishing to appear to be an anti-smoking fanatic, the kitchen is open to the bar which is open to the restaurant and to the hotel lobby, net result one gets the "benefit" of diluted second hand smoke on most of the ground floor. 
The half pension evening meal is remarkably slow, for a starter buffet, a main course absolutely the same for everyone, a rather lack lustre dessert e.g. two slices of ice cream. Why there are gaps of up to 30 minutes between courses was beyond my comprehension
We are unlikely to return, there are plenty of other hotels in the immediate area.
