I spent one night in the apartment that's on the top floor of the house. The house is very central, so that you can walk to the city center in 10 minutes. Since the house is located in a courtyard, it is still quiet.
One has to walk 3 stairs, as there is no elevator. So try to avoid big and heavy suitcases.
In the narrow courtyard there are some but very narrow parking lots for the guests.
The apartment is sufficiently large and nicely decorated. There is a refrigerator and a small stove but no dishwasher, which was no problem for an overnight stay.
The big problem was the in itself big and nice shower, as both the water pressure (too low) and the water temperature were not great - the latter fluctuated quite extremely. Therefore I cannot award more than 3 stars.

Good location, but dissatisfying shower

In looking for a place to stay for three of us (two adults and one adult child) we were hesitant to take a hotel room and have to pay for two rooms. "Monello" apartment seemed to be a logical choice. Getting to the location and meeting up with the attendant was painless...worked very well. The apartment was spotlessly clean - perfect. The rooms (it was a two bedroom) were perfect. Large comfortable bed in one room and the other room was more of a studio with a large bed, TV, table and chairs etc...No issue at all - again, extremely clean and had mostly everything. 
Two suggestions to the owner - if you are going to offer wifi, then provide suitable wifi. The internet (wifi) was terrible - in fact a number of times I used my app to determine what the signal strength was and not once did it come to more than 2 mb/sec. For three people in the apartment it was useless - and I am sure that it was a shared signal as most often it simply could not find a signal. In comparison at a number of restaurants we went to (everyone offers free wifi) the signal strength exceeded my scale at more than 100mb/sec.
Other suggestion: put a map in on the table with the closest store on it so that people can purchase the necessities and you should (if you are going to provide instant coffee sticks) include creamer and sugar - or don't bother at all. Disappointed that there was only a few instant coffee tubes and a couple of sugar sachets and two tea bags. 
However, the tea thing is very minor - the wifi needs to be sorted if you are going to say you offer it. 
The lady that greeted us was extremely nice (gave us two local free beer). I would highly recommend this apartment - you cannot beat the value for money.

Great value for money - mostly!

I needed a place to accommodate a group of English men on a weekend, Bamberg breweries & taverns tour. Monello apartments is located close to the Bamberg main train station, in the direction of the town centre, approx 15 mins on foot. I found the price to be very reasonable for the twin rooms in this popular location. The rooms were excellent. Clean, recently renovated to a good, modern standard but remaining sensitive to the old features of the property. We were met by the Monello team on arrival. The check-in process was friendly & professional. The team spoke English. Overall, a great location, a high standard of room only accommodation & at a good value for money price. Highly recommended.

Ideal base for a weekend in Bamberg

We have stayed here twice , once in a 2 room apartment and recently in an one room bathroom.

The location of this place is excellent , 5 minutes from station, there is a mini mart ( norma ) open 6 days a week, close by for supplies ,and an excellent Italian restaurant 2 mins away.

The bathrooms are modern , clean and inviting with all mod cons , and as an experainced traveler , they put many a 4/5 star hotel to shame .

If german is not your first language , the staff speak english .

The apparments have a toaster/ kettle. Coffe make and a 2 ring hob, and all the things you need , ( cork screws etc) pots , pans etc.

They are very cleaned , and furnished in modern sympathethic style.

Location from main town is less than 5 minutes you are on the river , so you are close as you would want to be. 

Would recomend to any one wanting to stay in bamberg

Best place to stay in bamberg

- I love the style of its decoration - north europen design, clean & minimal but sufficient
- Close to Bamberg main train station - within 4 mins walk if no luggage, easy to find
- Good value for money, free wifi
- I was assigned with Unit#8 on the top floor.  There's no elevator... so be mindful of your luggage size.  But the upside is that I did not experience the noise issue (due to the bar at G/F) as mentioned by other reviewers.
- The reception counter is not 24-hr, so better to email/SMS to let them know your arrival time
- Room temperature a bit low
- No breakfast but can consume the buffet breakfast at Hotel National just opposite to the apartments.  Now charged at eur$9.90 per person.
- Bamberg is an attractive small town and you can walk from the apartments to other attractions within 15-min.

Nicely decorated/furnished apartments

We stayed in Unit#5 and it was a huge space! I wasn't expecting so much space. The unit we had had a queen sized bed as well as a twin (we had 3 people traveling). There was a large dining table, full kitchen and large bathroom.

There is no elevator, so if you can't do two flights of stairs, this might not be the best place for you, although the stairs are wide and not normal itty bitty European stairs. 

The bathrooms hot water and water pressure was all great. 

Location: Less than a 10 minute walk from the main train station -- probably a little bit faster if you don't have luggage. It's in a safe area but there is a bar in the same building that is open quite late -- the noise didn't bother us though. It's about a 15min. walk to the old center. Fassla and Spezial brewery are right around the corner though!

Service: check-in was a breeze. We arrived late (due to a train delay) but the lady was still super nice and helpful. 

Bedding: Very comfortable and clean. No complaints. 

Compared to other pensions around Bamberg, this was a great deal at 98Euro/night.
