We are 2 families  4 Erw.+4 children had spent our vacation 02.01-06.01.2020. It started very positively with a pleasant communication with Ulrike Jungwirth in advance. Great house with everything in it, well maintained and clean. Quietly situated, a beautiful, cozy, warmly furnished living room- dining room. Beautiful, large, clean with great fireplace heated accommodation (she also has a heating system). It started very positively when we had been warmed up after a long year in the cafeteria. The house also has a super wellness area.

We had a couple of hours at the national park with a treetop walk of 1300 meters at about 30 to 40 feet high,Accessible by lift or stairs,at the end of the walk there is a tower with a spiral walkway to the top,which is very high.
Wouldn’t recommend this ascent if you are unfit or have walking problems,but the view is stunning overlooking the vast Forest and distant hills.

This is our second visit to Bavarian Forest Holiday Apartments and as always we were warmly welcomed.  Nothing is too much trouble, apartments are well appointed and located to the railway station, shops and restaurants.  If you are seeking a holiday that have a range of activities, from skiing to hiking or just wanted to have some down time, this is the ideal location.  We would thoroughly recommend and hope to return again.

What a wonderful lodging for a week with a friend in the Bavarian Forest!
The owner met me at the train station which was within walking distance of the lodging.
The accommodations were large with a bathroom for each room and 2 balconies. The apartment was clean and beautifully decorated and stocked with more than we needed. Our host provided breakfast for the fist morning which was a Sunday.  There was more food than we could use.
We received a guest card which gave us free rides on the Waldbahn and buses which we used every day of our stay.  We explored the neighboring towns and hiked several of the trails in the area.
We ate at the Eisensteiner Hof several times because we loved the food there so much.
Overall,  we LOVED our week in Bayrisch Eisenstein.

Bayrisch Eisenstein Vacation

We stayed at Bavarian Forest Holidays over Christmas with our son and his family. This is our third Christmas  stay here and as always a great experience. If you are looking for a Bavarian winter experience this is the place. The Christmas eve dinner at one of the local hotels is always a great opportunity to meet other guests and discuss your travels. The food is also traditional Bavarian fair and fantastic. You get a free Bavarian travel pass providing access to surrounding villages and towns and the national park. If you have the time a trip into the Czech Republic is a must and trains are very cheap, this time we spent a day in Plzen. Martin and his team are great and look after you. We highly recommend this place.

Great Family Accommodation

Two and a half years after our latest visit we recently came back to one of the homes of Bavarian Forest Holidays. And is was just as nice as all the previous 5 times! We've been there in summers as well as during wintertimes, and the apartments are always very comfortable.

Still going strong!

We are staying in the apto Arber in the Haus Sterr. The apto is a marvel, with all the necessary details to make you feel at home. The cleanliness and the level of equipment are also very remarkable. We travel with a baby and we find all the comforts of the world. It is a totally recommended place. The village has not much special but from the same street of the house you can walk to an entrance to the National Park, so it is very convenient to walk. In short, a completely recommended accommodation, nothing to do with the typical guesthouse type or hotel that abound in Bavaria.

Amazing accommodation for an escape to the heart of the Bávara Forest.

We had a fabulous stay in the Bavarian Forest Holidays in the Bavarian Forest. The apartments were simply outstanding, with everything we needed during the stay. The children loved the playroom and we enjoyed the DVD collection in the evening. As they say in Germany, cozy! Margaret and Martin could not have done more to make our stay even better. We thank you both very much and will be back. We can hardly wait to come back in winter and enjoy the winter sports. A perfect destination for anyone who wants to experience all that the Bavarian Forest has to offer. Mark, Bobby, Dominic and Anya.

A great destination for a family vacation

We were very pleased with the spacious, clean and well-kept apartments in Starr Maria, where everyone was comfortable from the beginning. It was our first vacation with our 8-month-old son. We were especially pleased with the numerous baby supplies, such as bottle and suction sterilizer, baby wipes, high chair, toys, etc., which were provided to us free of charge. As we traveled with other family members, we were more than thrilled that each room had a separate bathroom/WC table! We were all able to make ourselves comfortable in the large living room: a perfect supply of games and DVDs, etc. So you can enjoy yourself, as well as many other free items! In addition, we had a large room with a large Christmas room and a room full of our own, and we were all standing in a room with a large kitchen and a room full of silverware! We also had our own room with a large kitchen and a room full of silverware!

An Unforgettable Family Holiday

We were a couple over 30 years old (English/Japanese) and our living room was really perfect. The room was spacious and well furnished and super clean with the utmost attention to detail. We particularly appreciated the excellent goose feathers and the marmalade they provided us for breakfast. They could rent great bicycles and every day the hotel hung in a bucket the weather forecasts. We opted for the House Sterr for proximity to the National Park: we didn't need the car to move around. From the backyard to the backyard there were walking and bike touring routes and there were good connections in the train and in the family.
