We (my daughter and I) spent the weekend at the Seiserhof. Unfortunately, the hotel is standard for me as a boarding/youth hostel. The rooms are simply self-contained. The shower was leaky and the water did not run out. The room is dusty and breakfast is kept as sparingly and simply as possible. The price for room and breakfast is simply not justified. The situation is not everything!

Pension characteristics

We ate here tonight. The starter, potato soup with mushrooms was very tasty. As the main course we ordered a pork steak with dark beer bags and two different chops. The meat was tender and juicy. The sauce was very tasty. The second course. Pig fillet. With toast and grilled vegetables. Meat and toast top. Vegetables a bit sparse. But a delicious dessert for walnuts ice cream with egg liqueur and cream... to give. The service is extremely friendly and should be recommended only!!!

We stayed here one night and when we arrived we were struck by both its position and views. The car park gave an immediate indication of how busy it is here. Check in was quick and easy and our room was in a separate building about 50 metres away but our view was not to the lake but towards a farm on the backside. To most that would be a disappointment but for us it was perfect , in the morning we had a view of a herd of cows. On the other side you could not see the lake due to mist until about 10am when it cleared. So far so good but this is where the good bit ends. We had dinner in the restaurant and the service was apallingly slow, the main  course itself was quite good but the dessert was another matter. My wife's ice cream was fine but I chose a dumpling filled with poppy seeds and butter but it had been put into a microwave for too long and it was too tough to cut with a spoon, the waiter apologised and took it away.. This was not a one off because another couple on the next table had exactly the same problem.
Breakfast was poor by the standards of all the other hotels we stayed in during our 15 days in Bavaria. Everything is prepacked, ie jams and butter, no cooked breakfast option, the bread choice was poor, the Bircher Museli was in the tiniest pots. 
We used the sauna (at a cost of 15 euros!) and went up to the relaxation area but I was unable to use the shower due to a family with a young girl sitting in that area. If it had not been for the view I would only rate this hotel as 2/5

A hotel in a perfect position with great rooms BUT the service and the breakfast

The hotel, which has been in decline for years, may need to be modernized. Service (reception & restaurant) is not particularly hospitable.

It's a beautiful view and everything.

Positive: great view from the cafe, dogs allowed, negative: unfriendly staff. No refrigerator in the room, dirty TV remote control, only a key card for two people!? Room layout boring and tasteless. To the cafe: cola and specialty without carbonic acid lemon only after discussion. Food, well the hungry drives down only the salad didn't go down because a long hair was decorated. No drinks set... very poor. Just a warm bubble for 3€ on the table to add.

Nothing special.

Top hotel. Location overlooking the lake simply brilliant. Rooms spacious and modern furnished, with balcony(sunset) Staff very friendly and friendly. Good accommodation options for the ebikes.

Accommodation on the way from Lake Constance to Lake King

From the beginning to the end, this familly run hotel / restaurant was a perfect nest to explore the Chiemsee lake surroundings. 
The rooms was spacious , with beautiful view onto the lake. The bed was confit . 
We had breakfast inside , we enjoyed  the spectacle the landscape offered to us.
Breakfast buffet had  a tasty selections.
The menu presented a selection of  traditional  specialities , all really tasty. If in the area again, we’ll be back. 

Perfect !

The location is quite beautiful with very nice views of lake Chiemsee. However, after coming here a second time for lunch, the service again was very poor. The waitress was rushing around, didn‘t even have time to take the full order (before we could finish she was already rushing away) and complained about us asking 1 single questions about the salad (because of allergies). The food is ok, but nothing special. Overall I cannot recommend the restaurant for the really poor service which made us feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable.

Poor service, felt really uncomfortable

The property is perfectly placed to view all of Lake Chiemsee, and the surrounding countryside for miles. It's a short drive from Prien, Bernau and Aschau, up a moderate hill. The food is fairly simple but well cooked, with mostly Bavarian style dishes---so plenty of meat and fish on offer. The wiess beer is from one of the local breweries. Outside is a large terrace with shaded seating, and inside has wooden tables, benches and traditional decorations. From a family point of view, there is also a small play area outside with a climbing frame and swing, and inside is a small slide and a selection of childrens toys.
It's a place to go to for a relaxed get together, with the emphasis on a warm, friendly atmosphere.

Wonderful Views!

We did not stay in the hotel, but only came for the restaurant.
As with so many restaurants in the area, the food here was excellent. Every hotel has its trademark. Here the service is slow, but the views from its position half way up the mountain are brilliant.  Service did get faster each time we visited...almost as if they began to recognise us, but if you're on holidays, waiting is not such an issue! 
As usual hereabouts, you should have (at least some) German & cash. English & cards don't seem to work. 
Well worth a visit. 4 mains + drinks.. €91. Felt like great value.
